What did you buy your ebike this week?

I purchased some Entity PP15 pedals a few weeks ago, but they may be lost or stuck in a backlog.
If they don't turn up soon, I'm going to order some One Up alloy pedals instead.

For anyone looking at new pedals, I can highly recommend the Unite Component Intend pedals I got a few weeks back, really liking them. I have tried most of the usual suspects including One Up, Burgtec, Crank Bros etc and think I have finally found my sweet spot with these.

Unite Co Instinct Pedal - Unite Co - Made in the Uk - Pedals

I liked the One Ups, but found that you are totally dependent on the pins (which are very good) for grip rather than the pins working with the inherent shape of the pedal to add grip, since they are slightly convex rather than concave. Good pedals though.

New Funn 36t chainring for Shimano E8/7000, starting to see more direct mount options coming to the market now.

I've had these on my bike pretty much from new, was getting quite a lot of pedal strike from being a gumby early on and these definately helped heaps with that. Now got 1500km on them and alls still good (y)

They just look too thick though.

Finally the twins are together! Had to order new tyres after killing the Maxxis Rekon bead just before the lockdown.

Ordered a pair of my favourite tyres from Rosebikes in Germany. Always great service and a tyre price that beats everyone else.

However, this time there was a hitch. The two tyres arrived within a week but one of the tyres was defective. There was no return label in the box - which I was used to from ordering from rosebikes.de but this was an order from rosebikes.es in accordance with their new setup.

Sent an email to their helpdesk and got a response to mail the tyre back. Now mailing tyres from Spain is a bit of an oddity. They seem to be treated specially and I wasn't keen spending 40€ to mail back a tyre which cost me 36€...

So I wrote to rosebikes again to explain this. I got an email back saying to just mail the tyre back and they would replace it.

Now, up to this point I'd been writing in English because all the Rosebikes correspondence was in English. It's at that point that I switched to my mother's tongue. Unfortunately my German is, shall we say, profane at best.

This did elicit an instant reponse which pointed me to Section 12 of their Terms and Conditions, where there is a greyed out button saying "Italia" (they'd sent me the Italian website link  but, ho hum, we've got a result)

A click on the button and out pops a prepaid return voucher. A quick trip to the post office and there's return label generated by Correos to the value of 46€ for payment by Rosebikes on receipt of goods.

A couple of days later I got a credit note and the following day an email to say that my replacement tyre had been dispatched by express courier.

A hat tip to Rosebikes for being patient with me. I should have realised that their helpdesk staff are working remotely and can't easily refer to each other - they were very probably just passing everything through google translate. (I should have clicked when the email was signed by "Boris". I mean, what sort of Englishman is called Boris ).

I did apologise for the missile I'd launched in their direction and felt guilty about losing my temper so quickly (perhaps I need to go back on the tablets?).

So, no damage done from my side - I haven't been able to ride and am not allowed to visit my garage to do a tyre change anyway, because of the lockdown. I do feel rather sorry for Rosebikes that the cost of two outward couriers and one return courier probably equated to the value of the whole purchase.

I've used Rosebikes for around 15 years and can still heartily recommend them. Especially for tyres.

A massive rock hidden inside some grass at the side of the trail made me buy these!
Caught it with the bottom of my pedal (got a massive scare because I didn’t even see it) and snapped a pin clean off.

My beautiful iridescent HT ANS-10 Supreme now has a big gouge out of it ?

A oneup carbon bar 10mm lower for my Decoy (20mm instead of 30mm), should be even more plush at the front (rear's fine, coil shock), still waiting as it's bank holiday tomorrow here in France......

This definitely works .. with a keyboard you can shout away in seconds, with a tablet, you get more peed off with trying to type on the thing than what you were actually angry about ! ;)

@Gary lmao it's way too late to edit it silently, SHIT.

You laugh now but wait till I snap a picture of my bike in front of a brightly lit Belgian brothel. My bike is pimped and TBF I suspect you're shamefully attracted to it.

"your bike is a brothel" is a common put down here, I'd imagine a fair few Haibike owners will have heard it ;)

We have plenty actual brothels here too BTW.
I doubt they're very busy just now though.

Don't worry ... it doesn't take much to make a haibike attractive .. (I couldn't actually find a single haibike with a lady on .. in anyway .. except for Pilgrims new girlfriend, Hope.. )

I think we need an @Gary .. top 10 e-bikes .. in no particular order ...

Or top 10 brothels .. in no particular order - but maybe put the more professional ones in italics.

My bad, bringing my naughty bike and a brothel into the discussion with these ANIMALS was a big mistake as a moderator. Literally not even jocking anymore.

Let's get back to the main topic haha.
