Where did you get the brake caliper screws? AliExpress? I'm in the process of changing all my silver screws to these (and a few black ones!)
Are the Fox stickers actually metallic, and do they have the iridescent / rainbow / oil slick sort of look when you move them? If so - where are they from? I was trying to find some RockShox Lyric ones, but can only find flat coloured ones that look metallic.
Stickers are from ride decals not metalic and not sure if i like the at min front n back shock £20 the screws are pad retainer pins for hope calipers from tarty bikes ebay is best place for oil slick bolts cheers

Finally bit the bullet and bought the electronic mode shifter as getting congested on the LH side of the bars. All was good with the old dropper post as had a vertical lever but after having to change it out for a Brand X one I'm finding the 3 paddles in a row a bit difficult to cope with.
Plus the stand as sick of moving the bikes around the shed all the time and having to lean them up against stuff only to have them fall over a couple of minutes later.

Shimano XT 11spd derailleur.

Pillaged my old hardtail 10sp cassette, shifter and chain to replace my sram GX 12sp set up. What an absolute revelation it's been. How good is 10sp on an ebike. Set up is a breeze, no faffing about trying to get shifting spot on like with the Sram, it just works. Good riddance 12sp.

You might not even miss the two extra gears because with pedal assist, cadence doesn’t have to be micro-managed on a knife-edge... which may be a crucial factor on a manual bike - but not on an ebike. Your chain might last a little bit longer too because you’re not having to shift past so many cassette cogs with ratios unnecessarily close next to each other.

So you were able to make an 11speed derailleur work with a 10speed cassette and trigger?

Haven't missed those two gears yet on my local trails. I rarely used them before unless I was totally shagged and on a massive hill I'd just throw it on to the 50t put her on boost and pedal at about 30rpm, it was like being on an escalator taking in the scenery.

I was going to buy the 10sp XT derailleur but turns out this works flawlessly with 10sp cassette and 10sp deore shifter. Also now it gives me the option to either go 11sp (unlikely) or put a 11-42 10sp cassette on when this one wears down. The 11sp derailleur has more clearance then the 10sp and will accommodate the 11-42.

@Gary did a review of it a while back, but I think he had longevity problems with it

Box two cassette durability life was shocking. smaller sprockets wore out super quickly.
The rear mech also wasn't durable
and the shifters are really cheap feeling in comparison to basic Shimano.

Sunrace make it to Box Components specification

I'd avoid and recommend 10 speed shimano Deore over it every time.
its 11-42 cassette should have enough range for an Emtb.
(I run 36x 11-36 10 speed Zee but have no major health/fitness issues or disabilities though)

Microshift Avent isn't really any cheaper than 10 speed Shimano
and doesn't have the dealer network or warranty back up.
Having used/serviced/replaced plenty of Microshift products I also suspect it won't perform as well as tried and trusted Shimano deore/Zee.
But there's only one way to find out, eh? ;)

Gary do you have the model number of that zee mech? The only one I see is the m640 and that’s saying a 28t is the largest sprocket.

Hey Funkeydunk, like to new gear in particular the black cassette and the rear mudguard setup. What mudguard is it? What is the other rear guard attached to the frame?
Cheers

I've ordered some new Crank brothers Stamp 7 pedals. Had the bike over a week now and still have the plastic pedals it came with, also ordered some spares for the bag, chain links, rear hanger, CB M19 tool and a digital pressure gauge :)

35mm Nukeproof Horizon stem, 2021 Debonair upgrade kit and SKF Seals for my Revelation.
I ended up adding in a set of Ergon GA2 grips in nightrider blue and some reasonably color matched Spank Spoon pedals into the order. Unfortunately the DebonAir kit is not in stock so might be a little longer wait for that upgrade...still have at least few more weeks in lockdown anyway!

I’ve been a fan of Stamp 7s for a while now but have now discovered One Ups aluminium pedals, they’re thinner and equally as strong.
