Yeah even from here I can see how pale you are. Best you take the day off!

I couldn't take it, two and a half hours later and it's done. Wife headed to bed about ten and asked if I was staying up, she knew the answer. Now midnight and it's on the charger.

Only bummer was, my back disc got bent in shipping. I worked on it for a while and it's better, but still not like it should be. I'll contact YT tomorrow and hopefully get a new disc headed this way. View attachment 24619

Nice, how do you like the pedals? I have them on both of my bikes.

I have them on both of mine as well. First purchase I will always make now.

With my '16 Trance 2, I tried a bunch of different pedals, pedal strikes and comfort were terrible. Finally saw a video on these and said why not, even though the size looked like it would make pedal strikes worse. So glad I did.

Besides a great platform for all types of riding, I feel like I get better pedal drives, and my pedal strikes are almost nill. My pedals on the Trance still look really good after 3 seasons of riding single track during the year and bike parks in the summer.

A new KMC chain, a cheap one as the £30 Ebike specific one that came with the Levo is knackered after only 8 weeks and 215 miles of riding in the wet Surrey Hills!

I brought invisiframe for my Levo SL I get next week does that count?

Me too! Was due for delivery today - but my work is shut. Will appear on Monday.
Hopefully the XX1 AXS upgrade kit arrives from Germany on Monday too.
I’m also hoping the bike is ready to collect on Monday... as it arrived in store on Wednesday - but all the mechanics are off sick with man flu ?

Very nice, what version did you go for?

I ordered my invisiframe late Thursday, hopefully it will ship at the start of next week :p

Finally sorted the Hope 1/4 ring guard....These are not designed to fit eBikes, so dont do it unless you can machine your own custom screws etc...!:geek: View attachment 26026
Why would you fit one of those? (nevermind 2?) on an E8000?
They're designed so that the bottom of the chainring will be protected when your cranks are level(ish) and most riders will only ever bash the one fitted at the bottom of the spider with their preferred leading foot forwards.
An E8000 chainring spins independently from the crank arms so your Bash guards are almost never going to be in the correct place with only a 50% chance of them even being in a suitable position to take a hit.

Got some Togs, others may hate them, but I enjoy the extra hand position on long grinding flats or accents. View attachment 26001
First time I saw those a customer had fitted them to the OUTSIDE of his grips. We were scratching our heads in the workshop as to why anyone had designed bar ends so small. so when the customer returned to collect his bike we asked him what they were. He said he'd bought them to protect his controls/bars when the bikewas placed upside down.

I do know what they're designed for now BTW

Why not ? The skid plate is low enough that the ring doesnt need it either..
I bought the guards before I understood they didnt fit ebike chains (not enough clearance for chain width and needs offsetting )..but they wouldnt take a return as it was "unforeseen compatitbility issue' according to the vendor, and Hope...Also bebfore I fitted the skid/bash plate.
Being stuck with it, I fitted it anyway...weighs fuck-all so wont make a paperweight....!:giggle:

Why not ?
Did you even understand what I said above?

There's no such thing as an E-bike chain.
the chain is not why those bash plates are unsuitable for use with an E8000 system.
but they wouldnt take a return as it was "unforeseen compatitbility issue' according to the vendor, and Hope..
Hope wouldn't accept it back for refund as they never do. The Vendor wouldn't accept a return as they'd be unlikely to ever sell it or get a refund from hope.

100g of pointless weight isn't really fuck all.

If you haven't used them remove them and you can probably sell them on ebay for not much loss.
Folk love Hope stuff for some reason.

I got tangoed. Or Trumped depending on your political persuasion.

DMR Deathgrips
DMR Vault V2s
SDG BelAir Saddle
Hope floating rotors and Hope Tech 3 V4s
I also picked up a Hope universal bar clamp for my BikeHut light (as recommended by BikeScene) - it's loads stronger than the standard one.

Oh, and a cheap workstand 'cos fitting the front brake was a mare.
