At that point delete your account and reinvent yourself. You will have a great eMTB to offset any guilt you may have...
OK .. We've established I'm probably no good at this .. If I wanted to anagram myself as any good criminal mastermind would .. I should have picked a better starting name ... I can only think of "Mr Rim Faze Me" or "Ram em Fez Rim". None of which are particularly catchy names for a reinvention.

You've obviously thought about this far more and have dozens of options available .. You can go all dark with "Has Mutations" or dark and sexy with "Uh Moist Satan" or you can even sound like a future advertisement "Hit Tom's Sauna" ...

Therefore, in tonights game of Cluedo, I declare that you are the true bikenapper ! and I shall lower my demand to 6 eggs !

This is what my LBS in the states quoted me for the pricing, 11,000 for expert, 13,000 for Pro, and 15,000 for SWORKS!! Holy f$#K, that's just ridiculous!! Wouldn't tell me anything as far as specs goes, just confirmed what everyone already has posted in here.

You now need professional help. Hit Tom’s Sauna was however a highlight! Fair play...

That’s close to the Levo pricing we have now
Current expert is $10,500

As I said earlier, it will be expensive!

I hope those who ordered Sworks get them next week. Here in the US, there will be limited numbers of Sworks available during the launch on the 23rd.

Not what I was told, but I hope you’re right! We’ll soon find out.
I haven’t been told an exact price but if that’s the actual price of an S-works then I think they will lose a lot of customers.
That is a joke of a price for ANY bike!

A guess, but it would seem sensible that the "launch" coincides with this marketing campaign which seems to be running in parallel :

Had me curious Zim .
There was one of those pizza boxes stashed near a MTB trail 40 minutes from me. They even had the longitude and latitude on the page . I know the trails. But ... it`s pouring rain here and I fell off the other day with my phone in my pocket . Smashed the screen . So no smart phone to check GPS coordinates .
It also said before the rain . It`s been raining for a week now ??

This is a bit worrying ! Apparently any country which doesn't successfully complete their challenge - won't get any bikes !!! ;):ROFLMAO:

It does look wet downunder ... maybe they'll make an exception ..

After 6 months of faffing about getting this 2019 bike the way I like it , new 2021 bikes are the least of my concerns . :ROFLMAO:
I think the challenge will be completed . The friendly guy at the Spesh shop will make sure of it . ????

Yes and the more idiots there are who blindly pay it the more they will keep putting the price up.

Thing is a Porsche comes with the driving ability the handling and the performance and the brand value to justify it.

Mountain bikes are hard to tell the difference between brands and the motors and batteries are all similar now too. The build quality sucks and its all far Eastern junk of poor quality and reliability.

This ain't no Swiss Time piece or German engineering or British racing heritage. This is mass produced low cost unreliable heavily marketed and replaced yearly which is not a good recipe for high pricing.

Both bike shops and brands need to buy and sell volume and only 12 months ago you could get 40% off an end of season bike. That was before these insane increases.

The winding down of the pandemic and opening up of holidays and other suppressed markets will suck the life right out of this bike bubble and all the money flowing in to it. The stock will go unsold and the market will be flooded and pricing will crash.

The reality check is that mountain biking is a 6/10 fun sport at the best of times. It's not that accessible with limited trail centers and transporting them is a hassle and has a high injury rate. Combine that with what was already a high cost to entry and your market place wasn't that big. This new pricing will make it even smaller.

You only have to look at the small number of subscribers on YouTube channels dedicated to this stuff. It's niche at best even in the pandemic.

The brands are basically crapping on loyal customers in order to exploit new transient customers who will be bored within 3 to 6 months and put their bikes on the market. I'm seeing it already on Facebook.

That is a problem on the horizon for brands who don't seem to look further than 12 months in to the future.
Well I personally find emtb to be 10/10 for fun factor but I agree the pricing is ridiculous but can you blame a business for maximising profits? I mean come on, it’s why they created a company in the first place. They are not there to help people out so no point in complaining. Do your part and buy a different brand when the price becomes too high for you. Plenty of other good brands.

The Trail.
Its a good point, I also believe the bubble will burst at some point and the prices will come back down.

I'm looking for a longer travel emtb to supplement/replace the Levo but have shelved my plans for the time being as the pricing has got silly now. Its definitely a sellers market at the mo!

This time last year, deals were being done with LBS's. Cycle2Work made things semi-affordable for the masses. Now prices are pushing most emtb's out of the affordability for the majority of the people who want to ride them.

Having said that, credit debt is increasing so I guess folk are just loading up their credit cards.
