The blevo is the cycle analyst in Bluetooth/ android and iphone form, and you can output the information from cycle analyst into data to a computer or in Bluetooth if you solder to the connection inside cycle analyst and attach a Bluetooth module, think new c3 has the output on a plug already. I have a Bluetooth kt controller which is just five wires that normally do to the display but just plugs into a Bluetooth chip so the technology is there, just waiting for someone to pick up on blevo and make it standard for all ebikes, Blevo is not for 99% of riders in this form as too much information for most, most just want to switch on and ride without putting a phone on handlebars, but great for us 1% in current form ?
Has Brose/ Specialised put in the output torque from motor to crank in data form, is there a second torque sensor for motor output? Is it required for 1 in 1000 people like us? as it adds cost.
I agree although that which would be of most use to everyone is missing from both - battery pack cell or module level diagnostics. For example, in BLEvo, there's the battery temperature metric available though in effect of little use. In the Cycle Analyst, diagnostics are also limited.

I 've had Drain Brain & still have the small CA 2.1 on a bike so looking at CA 3.1, it has come a long way but still lacks useful pack diagnostics like below which shouldn't be difficult but somehow seems to be.

Of course there's also Grinspector

This provides you with the pack's available capacity in amp-hours and watt-hours, internal resistance, and a graph of the discharge curve profile. For ebike shops it can serve as a means of doing quality control on inbound batteries and for troubleshooting and warranty testing customer packs. As an added plus, you can set the station to automatically recharge the batteries to 30% capacity at the end of the test so that they are in the ideal state for shipping or storage.

Blevo is for Levo bikes only at the moment and very cheap for a quick fun app, so do not think it’s users would use any of the above tests even it were available, also the shop staff would no use either as well. they would just send the battery back to Specialized for a test and Specialized would not spend the man hours to test anyway?
Bluetooth for use to connect to other bikes might have a market but just as a display not for testing, kt controllers have Bluetooth now so could open the app in a new form (Blevo Kt) for example but would have to done with manufacturers help to have a standard interface, still limited market unless adopted by bagfand or Bosch ?
Most customers and bike riders just want to turn on and go, 1% want to do maths?

Absolutely but where a graphic representation of the cell group can clearly indicate imbalance or identify cell failure, that can prevent a lot of faffing around. It wouldn't need to be front & centre but a discrete diagnostic screen that could potentially encourage even the least technically inclined to maintain optimum performance & extend expected battery longevity.

Back door diagnostics would make the app bigger and 99.9 % of Blevo users only have a battery and a charger, with batteries under warranty, also who looks inside a battery? recharge to full and unplug as soon as green light comes on is good enough for most.
No demand for diagnosis so who pays for development unless a hobby? No market for the extra effort of programming?
Most people that would use this have a cycle analyst and other electronics as hobbies and electronic trained.

You are vastly overestimating the size & complexity of a diagnostic screen that people will only see if there’s an issue, the cell group coloured red if there’s a confirmed problem. Back door, front door whatever simple diagnostics on a $1,000 battery really would not require huge R&D resources with multiple teams of engineers & coders to implement.

Fewer warranty claims are of benefit to everyone.

Would be nice to have it but in the UK there is a shortage of programming people with jobs un filled, I do not know I am retired now so know not a lot about much in the real world , just need someone to do it but Blevo works as it, not up to me I am a consumer playing with Ebikes ?
Love playing with my new picoscope, playing around watching data flow between components on two wire in cars and other things. ?

Just wanted to share this issue here as well, as it might be BLEvo related bug.
As per my post in this thread - motor power loss - smart feature?
I suspect there might be a bug in BLEvo that causes the motor to change assistance level unintentionally.

Just another thought on this, BLEvo recognizes my TCU FW as 22B, while it was updated to the latest 26B.
Anyone had issues with this?
Could it be related?

I’d like to thank @PaoloBLEvo for all the work he’s put into this.

I have BLevo running on my Samsung Note 10 in landscape mode on my handlebars with a Quadlock mount. It’s simply awesome to see all the real time stats in glorious technicolour, and then swipe to get a very nice map that has led to me finding loads of new trails. It’s like having a fighter pilot display in front of me. Getting power, cadence, speed, etc etc is excellent.

I’m using a “CooSpa” heart rate monitor chest strap which integrates perfectly. Upload to Strava is great.

All in all, bloody brilliant work and well worth the small number of £s to buy it in the appstore.

I agree, this app is way in front of all others, at the time and still is. the specialized app was put to shame, I have it on iOS and Android and it has worked perfect every time, never any issues for me, it amazed me how accurate it was to the cycle analyst as a power meter for both electrical and rider input, was a dream come true finding Blevo. Thank you.

Did you have chance to test the map from https://kartat-dl.hylly.org/2020-05-30/mtk_suomi.map?

I'm guessing that the problem could be related to map theme. In BLEvo app I have to select map theme, but I think that mtk_suomi.map does not support any of those themes. In that site there is own theme for that topo map https://kartat-dl.hylly.org/2020-05-30/peruskartta.zip.

Blevo is such a nice app that it would be nice to use better maps for navigation.

Trailmap - Löydä uusia polkuja is another map service and maybe their maps are even better for mountainbiking(especially 3d maps).

Here is some instructions how to use these maps in different services.
@PaoloBLEvo Is this tile server compatible with Blevo?

Trailmap maps in tile-server (just Finland):

Getting ready to try Blevo. Forgive me if this has been covered already. reading 129 pages would take forever but when you use Blevo are you also linked up to Mission Control? If you do you just erase the bike from Mission Control so it doesn’t link up? Also I’m assuming it works the same for the Levo SL as the regular Levo.

No mission control needed. Don’t erase your bike though. From time to time you might want to use it, I do.
YES, it works for an SL too

I run mission control and blevo simultaneously. I have a Levo and an SL so it's even more complicated! Mission control (because you can start after a stop manually) tends to give a more accurate mileage to Strava. Also, you have all the diagnostic info in MC... AND because I have two ebikes I get accurate cumulative mileage totals for both bikes by recording each ride in MC. I like Blevo for the display while riding primarily... I don't pay much attention to the data, but when I am curious, it's there.

Hi, how does that work, if you run both at the same time which one controls the bike?
I would of thought there would be one app that takes control, the one first one to make a connection? I can see how one could work in the background logging data but not if using Blevo on smart settings.
Interesting?

Yea I was thinking the same thing. What app overrides the other to control the settings?

Thanks for you reply Paolo
In 6.4 , in the manual 3rd item , it says you can select Blevo to open emailed GPX.

I can't find this switch , im on android phone. Is it still there.?
It depends if you have an already registered application for the GPX.. You should remove the registration and so you can choice which application can open the GPX file

Usually the motor lost of power is due to a cable problem.. the cable between motor and battery.
For the new TCU you have to press the Reload button in the Bike setup (Android)

Try to use also the dedicate remote control for BLEvo... it is a very very good add-on that after try it, you cannot you BLEvo without it.. :p

I don't think you can use in the same time Mission Control and BLEvo connected to the Bike.
BLEvo can work with the bike disconnected, Mission Control I don't know.
And I think BLEvo has more statistic information than Mission Control..

With BLEvo you can store all the ride evenif you have different bike.. I have 2 bikes and I have all the ride stored in BLEvo.
In the next version of Android, the name of the bike will be shown in the statistic.

Is BLEvo only active and connected to the bike, if i start a ride? Without an active ride, only the fix levels i can choose, smart power will not work. But i manage my rides with a Garmin Edge, so there is no need for rides in BLEvo.

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. Apologies for the long post.
I did a test with a Levociraptor on my 2020 Levo. I used Blevo (on IOS) to modify the speed limit and adapt the wheel circumference accordingly (2100mm - wouldn't go any lower).
After the test I removed the levociraptor again and performed the TCU reset. Much to my surprise the TCU reset returns a motor error (red/black/blue LED). Powering off/on, the bike clears the error and I can ride it normally. Repeating the TCU reset continues giving the error, and no settings have been restored.
Worst of all, if I look in Mission Control, the wheel circumference is set to 2000mm (was 2300mm before using the levociraptor). Compared my riding speed with a Garmin GPS and MC speed is 3-4 kmph less than Garmin, while Blevo speed is almost identical to Garmin.
Is there any way I can still perform a reset? Or at least have the wheel size in MC correct again?
Should I be worried about the incorrect wheel circumference in MC and the motor error?
Is my LBS likely to find out I de-restricted the bike?
Running motor firmware 6.1 and TCU 26.B
Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: inserting the Levociraptor again with the selector in position 1, resets the wheel circumference on the bike! - SOLVED

I’m sure I’m going to get flamed for this but oh well. Honestly serves you right for the issues you’re having for deristricting the bike. It’s hard enough getting access to MTB trails with the bikes set as they are. Derestricting them just adds fuel to the fire to get these bikes banned. Maybe youre in a part of the world where it’s accepted. If so I apologize. But here in the US its an uphill battle. I just don’t understand why people can’t leave well enough alone
