I found the "issue" of the delay of the remote control.. The assistance level is delayed only if you press the button when the Smart Power is changing (or immediately after) the assistance percentage...
If the percentage is stable the remote control is not delayed.
If you are not pedaling (this says to Smart Power to don't change the assistance percentage) the remote control is not delayed..
My suggestion is to change the assistance level with the remote only when you are not pedaling or, if you are looking the display, after a change of assistance percentage (the next change of assistance percentage will be after 2 or more seconds).
Let me know if you can try this trick to avoid the delay.

Thanks, this seems to be a logical explanation. And i can live with this "issue".

I have just released version 3.4.7 of BLEvo for Android.
These are the news:
- Added configuration parameter to rotate the map even when stopped
- The Bluetooth connection sequence has been revised and optimized
- Bugfix: Now if no GPX is selected, the map is centered on the last known position
- Bugfix: Crash on map download with map type is not selected
- Bugfix: Out of track warning not always correct

During the week I also released 3.4.6 with these news:
- Now the altitude can be negative
- Now the altitude in the GPX file has 2 decimals
- Optimized the ascent calculation
- Now the static assistance values are restored even if you are not using Smart Power
- Bugfix: GPX import with larger longitudes 100
- Bugfix: Crash on GPX import with Google map

Thanks for the explanation Paolo. Would it be possible to program a selectable option, which would do this:

If rider is pedaling, but stops pedaling suddenly, BLevo would not do any Smart power changes for like 2 secs.

I think it is already implemented in this way...

But, for my curiosity, why do you need to change the level assistance so many times with Smart Power active?

Well, normally I of course try to stay in Eco, but I’m not sure if it’s the singletracks that I normally ride or what, but I often need to be able to quickly change assistance. The tracks that I ride and which are common in the area that I live, are like that one second you may be coming down an easy, but short downhill which then changes abruptly to a steep technical (lots of roots and rocks) uphill. Or there maybe an easy section where I just need to pedal, but I see that it ends by some obstacle (fallen tree, rock etc) that I need to be able ride over.

I don’t know if it’s the BLevo settings that I have, but I feel that it doesn’t respond quickly enough in these situations, where I need a quick jolt of power from the first push of a pedal for few secs and then it can again ease down to ”normal” Smart power mode. Hence, I’ve setup the settings like this:
Eco: battery saving for longer sections of normal trail
Trail: longer uphill sections, or even technical parts, or mud etc.
Turbo: Give me everything you got -mode

And yes, now when I know the reason for the delay, I will so more testingto find out, if I find some way how I could ensure that a change would register as often as possible.

Ok.. thanks for the explanation.. usually I ride in ECO with Smart Power from 4% to 79% and if I need "instant" power, I push on the pedal few meters before the high hill. This is my trick but maybe cannot be used in all the trail situation..

I found another thing, that seems to be not ok: If I compare the biker power in BLEVO with the biker power of the same ride in Strava, the value in Strava is always about 30% lower than in BLEVO. Did anybody notice the same problem?

Each system seems to have it's own algorithm. Three examples from my last short ride:

Garmin 93 W; RunwithGPS 96 W; Strava 78 W; BLEvo 80 W

So this values are only for a kind of orientation, not for an exact measure.

If BLEvo and Strava would be that close together, it wouldn't be a problem. In my case Blevo says about 160W, Strava about 120W.
I thought, the power data from BLEvo would be uploaded to Strava. If the thing works the other way round and Strava calculates the power data out of the rest of the data, the thing is clear for me.
Maybe Paolo could give us an idea, wich data are uploaded to Strava and wich ones are calculated by Strava.

I read the biker power from the bike, then I save this value in the TCX file that is uploaded to Strava..
BLEvo doesn't calculate the average of the biker power when the cadence is too low, otherwise the average will be not correct and too low..

Can anyone recommend smart power settings for a Kenevo? I really like the idea of smart power mode. My mate rides a cube with eMTB mode and it is very efficient. When I use smart power mode by battery drains really quickly so I've generally managed the modes myself via the handlebar remote.

Can anyone recommend smart power settings for a Kenevo? I really like the idea of smart power mode. My mate rides a cube with eMTB mode and it is very efficient. When I use smart power mode by battery drains really quickly so I've generally managed the modes myself via the handlebar remote.

I haven't really messed with the settings other than increasing Training Biker Power from default (was it 180w?) to 200w to try and improve battery range.

Ive not used expert mode but have enabled it to grab a screen shot if it helps.

Which TCU version you have?
If you have 2.019 or 3.019 maybe there are some problem for Smart Power..

If you have 2.019 or 3.019 maybe there are some problem for Smart Power..
Ok.. you have a Kenevo.. no issue for the firmware version..
Try to use high cadence and try to stay always in ECO..

I am trying to add battery and level data fields to the map display, but the data fields are not getting saved.

Steps to reproduce:
Configuration --> Customize Display
Within the “Select data fields on top of the map page” I select
Data 1 (map): Battery
Data 2 (map): Level
Press the < Customize Display button at the top of the screen to exit the settings.

Go back into Customize Display and the map data fields are empty.

I’m using BLEvo v3.4.7 on Android

Is this a bug, or am I doing something stoopid?

It is a bug sorry...
To solve temporary this issue, you can select a display different from default display, select the data on the map, exit from display customization, re enter in display customization and recover the display to default..
I will fix in the next release..

Hallo everybody. I am new here. I ride one of the first LEVO comp FSR in Holland. I got in warrenty a new battery.
I use BLEVO from the beginning it was there. I used it only to change some parameters. Now I discovered that there is smart and hartpower. I understand that the IPhone must stay connected while using smartpower. I also use a Garmin 1030 while I am riding.Also I use the Garmin wireless controller for changing ECO/TRAIL/TURBO. I use GPS for speedmy question is: Can I use this all together. Ps. Excuse my English

Thanks Paolo, I have been doing some tweaking to my settings, and based on your comment, I think I've found the sweet spot. I went yesterday for a 55 km ride and I think that never gotten the average Wh/km such low and also never done so little amount of manual assistance changes during the ride. I was using my home-made, extra 250 Wh battery and came back with 43 % battery left :cool:

Now my settings are:
7-65 %
70-80 %
94-95 %

And thresholds set up so that Eco power goes up quite soon, when I push pedals hard, but also comes down, when I don't need the power anymore. Trail is for steeper and/or more technical uphills and Turbo for going over logs or other short technical sections.

I do have one wish though:
I have "Duration" visible in my 3+3+3 horizontal dashboard, but the moment, when duration goes over 1 hour, the value goes to two rows and then it messes the layout (see the attached image, lower right corner and the whole bottom row). Would it be possible to have a setting that, when duration goes over 1 hour, the seconds are not shown anymore?
