I would not want it anyway. It is another mop icosmetic nothing for the folks who value looks over function, like the ICR headset routiing. I want the display right where it is on the bars where it is easy to see without taking my eyes off the trail.

I think the bar display is more headsup as you say for one's peripheral vision for a tight trail especially. (Shimano engineers seem to agree too). I can ill-afford more than a quick peak anyway or risk a wipe out.

Now after seeing the wireless DJI electronics, I'd like to see Bafang follow suit. Get rid of those nasty, cluttered display and power selector button wires...ya know for less wind drag and of course sleekness.

Got my frame today and started building. The headset race on the fork is a loose fit. And attached is a pic of how the upper headset fit and a pic before installation.

I’ll let Jean know, but I think an entire new headset is in order. Can someone confirm the correct size? The website says 52mm upper and 66mm lower, but that seems inconsistent with what some have used (56mm upper). Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello lucky you mine is always traveling for the headset the size should be zs56 above zs66 below if you don't have a caliper measure it with a ruler

notice that you have lateral cable routing, in your place I would change immediately that headset is unwatchable and you will have problems

So you assemble everything without dismantling the various fulcrums to put the Loctite to avoid loosening of the pins I will put on Loctite protective film I don't want to get caught up in the desire to go for a ride straight away and then have some little problem, we waited 2 months for a few more days it won't be a drama

Today I was planning to do annual full service including suspension bearings replacement. Upon disassembly and closer inspection I’ve found the crack in the chainstay, which was hidden under the rubber chainstay protector. This must have happened few months ago as the crack resulted in paint chipping which I noticed long ago but didn’t suspect of being anything serious. Anyway, I’ve contacted Jean and she’ll forward this to technicians on Monday, but I wonder if they are going to replace the chainstay under warranty, what’s your experience with such cases? I don’t remember how long is the warranty period. It’s now slightly over the year since I placed my order (2023-11-25), but less then year since it was dispatched (2024-01-10) or delivered (2024-03-06), so I guess it should be still covered by the warranty even if it’s only one year…

Has anyone had similar issue, did they send you replacement chainstay, was the speed sensor included and its cable pre-routed? I don’t want to go through all the pain of cable routing again…

Our frame has a 3-year warranty..I thought I had a cracked seatstay at the drop out last year on the drive side....it.was replaced out of caution no problem.

Note when I painted the whole frame myself a few months later I had to reroute the cable too. But in anticipation, I also had kept the plastic white feeder line that will likely be fed in with the warranty replacement chainstay.

Hey y’all,
I’d like to verify my connections.

First off, I unplugged the charge port cable to secure the port. It uses the same connector as the cable going to the motor. I believe I have it plugged in correctly (see pic), but is there any way to confirm?

I also have some connectors on the cable from the handlebar-mounted controller. I think the yellow triangular cable plug is for a throttle and the loose ends for a light so I’m planning to ignore them. Does the black connector plug into the front port on the motor? An identical port is on the rear, but I think that’s for the speed sensor? There’s really no color coding like I expected.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!!

I got info from Jean they will send me a new chainstay. I used this opportunity to order a spare motor guard and 2 complete sets of spare suspension bearings in the same package (one set is 8xF6901-VRS + 4xF6801-VRS at 1.65$ each bearing). They will pre-route the speed sensor in the chainstay but I need to buy a new sensor (12.5$) which I was going to do anyway to have a spare just in case the wire got broken.

I use Jagwire rotors with built in magnet and I did not need to re-align.

Today I mounted the motor and I also had error 21. I solved it by putting the sensor not horizontal but vertical, see photo. Tested it works without having to remove the magnet from the pin. Let me know if it solves the problem

yes, this happens. mounting the speed sensor vertically like @Ger@anio63 posted helps, but the real long lasting solution for me was adding additional spacers (including spring spacer to prevent sensor rotation) to move the sensor ~3mm inwards.

Finally got the bike put together and went for a ride. Rode about 10 miles to/from the trails and 9 more on the trails…so a little over 19 miles in total. Why, yes, I AM an engineer partly due to my amazing math skills. I pretty much used Boost (5) on the pavement and Trail (2) on the….er, trails. Was at approx 75% battery when I got home. I’m pretty pleased with that.

today I did my first bike test ride premise for me this is my first E-bike I was pleasantly impressed when tackling the climbs I'm used to high pedaling frequencies and I felt good I didn't have any sensation of the wall when I went over the top the 25 km was nice, the frame was smooth too, the geometry and everything else, I had a great time, nice bike, I'm satisfied with the choice I made I covered 26 km with a difference in altitude of 376 mt absurd consumption only 8% I was amazed well

i think your can be claim under warrenty but its does not come with any bearing or cable, just the rear carbon triangle only and the paint might not be the same as yours original, might be slightly out, since your paint look like a custom paint.
