Has anyone put a 180mm fork on their Levo? I have a 180mm 38 lying around, considering putting it on.
So I did this today. Feels really good on a car park ride. Hopefully help the BB from hitting so much and smashing my battery door.

Very nice. Was gonna get EXT but I’m glad I went Push, just for the dual circuits. The EXT sounds like a nice shock also. Push gave me a discount, and EXT would not. I’m glad I went coil.
Did they get your spring rate correct? They seem to underspring the Levo somewhat.

Unfortunately it’s not 😢. I’ve repaired the stanchion somewhat, but it’ll need a new CSU with I can find one (this is why I had this fork as a spare!).

I cant find any CSU's. Cyclinic in Aus. had some but they are now sold out. Hows 180mm feel? at 170 mine feels like a lot of bike to sink into up front. Can be a nuisance unless its fast flowy trails

Jesus thats some battle scar isnt it

That a Rockshox coil too?

Any feedback on the ext shock mate?
Was going to ask if I could have a play on your bike before I order one?
Hi mate. It’s great so far. I’m going to sell the Storia V3 if you’re interested let me know.

Selling as I’ve purchased a new bike and this coil doesn’t fit. £600 with a single spring. If you want you can try it first see what you think.

Rob.

Yeah I called Cyclinic, they’re sold out as you said. I’ve cleaned it up, it will do until I can find a new CSU. That is a Rockshox coil, but when on the phone to Cyclinic I ended up getting a Push 11-6 for it. I’m surprised at the difference, it’s amazing, well worth it.
180mm is probably overkill, I’m guessing 170mm would be better. It makes the bike feel totally different, more like a DH bike. This suits me, as most of the trails I ride are pretty steep and technical. There’s no flow around where I live, but I agree it probably wouldn’t feel great. On very steep uphills, you need to work to keep the front end down. I tried to account for this by adding just one 5mm spacer under the stem. I had a decent stack yesterday causing the bars to turn 180 degrees. There wasn’t enough height, so my brake and dropper levers ended up scratching the top tube fairly badly. Something to be aware of if you’re going to try this.
For me, this experiment worked, and I’ll keep this setup.

Yeah the top tube thing is too late for me ha. Wasnt even a stack. Just sat there and the bars turned and the AXS shifter scratched the top tube

I am going back to 170mm and a Luftkappe shortly. 160 feels sprightly but I prefer the extra travel.

Yesterday had the chance to test the e-Storia on the trails with coils between 650..800 lbs. Ended up with the 700 lbs for my 100 ride ready Kg together with 10 clicks for HSC and Rebound IIRC.
Mine should arrive end of the month.

The shop told me that EXT does not provide any internal adjustment options for the e-Storia as they believe that they range of external adjustements would be sufficient for all combinations of bikes and riders.
Could anyone confirm that? Did your dealer do any internal adjustments for you?

What dealer are you going through? They can for sure be tuned internally. It does have a wider LSR range tho.

Spanish distributor (wild coast)

But did yours get specifically shimmed? Or anyons?
Can only speak with my experience with suspension syndicate in the US. You need to put in your specs (bike, rider weight, etc) when ordering so they can pick the right compression/rebound tune. I actually ended up sending mine back to make slight changes to both compression and rebound tune, I went firmer on both (what they originally sent over should be spot on for most riders).

I believe that to be incorrect, the EXT shocks need to be shimmed to suit. The adjustments have a narrow range and if you are at either end of them then it's recommended you have the shock tuned. Hope that helps..

Just to be sure: You refere to the new E-Storia or another model? (also see below)

I was told that this was indeed the case for the former EXT models (pre E-Storia) and that for the E-Storia the range of external adjustments was increased with the goal to avoid having to change internals.

Yes with e-storia. I can confirm that the rebound adjuster can go faster than regular storia so that might be what is being referred to. But I don't work there so not sure what the real truth is to be fair.

Very nice (y)
I used to have the Storia V2 on my 2020 sworks enduro, and I changed it with ohlins TTX22m.

I expect to receive my 2022 levo frameset in a couple of weeks, for the moment I have the ohlins waiting with me :)

Would you share a photo showing the whole bike ?

Have you fitted the Ohlins shock yet …. Very interested in any feedback 👍

Looking at getting a e-storia for my gen3 comp alloy.

How are you guys liking them?
suggested spring rate for 100kg rider? I have seen some comments say the gen3 ramps up more and a lighter spring is required as a result

Hi Coil lovers,

After the long travel link from cascade is too long to wait for and expensive and the 160mm cascade kit increases the leverage ratio too high, I want do go another way and try a 160mm coil in the lev gen3. Perhaps anyone had similar ideas or any tips if this will function as i have it im my plans:

- The lev gen3 has nearly the same leverage progression than the 2020 Kenevo whick runs good with a TTX22M Coil. So for me there is no need to increase progression when using a coil.

- Öhlins TTX22 is my choice due to the good experience in my Kenevo Gen2 and the possibility of spherical bearings, the robustness and the moderate price.

- I want to use a 58-60mm stroke shock in the standard linkage. So I ordered an old inch-sized TTX22M in 222x70mm which is 1:1 identical to the 216x63mm except the mainshaft length. the positive thing is, that those inch-sized shocks have a higher stroke related to the length :) I would start with a stopper-plate with 10mm thickness on the reboundside of the shaft between the valvepiston and the sealhead. This will result in 212mm length and 60mm stroke.

The 2mm more shock length shall compensate the lower sag and the higher front with the 170mm fork.

I will give a feedback when this adventure gets reality :)

Best regards,

Chris

I would recommend you try a 650lb Spring. I work for United States EXT distributor so I am obviously a bit bias but the feedback we have gotten from people running the e-storia on the Levo has been pretty amazing. I am running one on the newest Norco Sight VLT that I have also ran the Arma on and the e-storia definitely has a noticeable increase in performance over the V3 platform. I think the negative spring helps quite a bit.

Tested the whole range up to 800lbs and ended with the 700lbs for 95Kg naked.
Note that the EXT comes with two coils anyways. So you could chose the 650 + the 700.
