I actually could not find it in the user manual, I had to do a google search but it was easy to find. It’s not a secret, it is in the user manual.
USA only though.

Isnt saying China & Taiwan are the same is like saying Canada & the USA are the sameYes the Specialed is 100% not made in China at all.....
How about a gen3/4 noise comparison? Metal gears (coated or not) will have a higher whining noise than plastic gears (used in primary planetary gear reduction from previous Brose motor). For me personally, the sound/feel(power delivery) of Brose motor was the best of all and because it wasn't popular among bike manufacturers, Specialized was the only option. And it had plenty of power/torque. The weak point was the reliability...they could have improved on that design instead of going the same way as others. Anyway, until I have a chance to properly test one, I will refrain from further assumptions.
the sound difference with bosch is ridiculous, can it be faulty motor once again?
Can't say that it wows me? the Avinox bikes look even more tempting now, I really don't like the look of the Gen 4 with it's chunky downtube and high price. I was expecting something more like the SL with the compact new motor so a bit disappointed if Im honest. The fanboys will still love them whatever, so that's fortunate for the BrandNice bike but in all seriousness, besides dentists, who is willing to pay 15000 euros to get this bike ? Still scratching to find the game changer part...
I got a Bosch gen 5 bike with removable 800wh battery replaced all suspension with RS Ultimate, top carbon wheels and bars, for less that half of that amount. With the upcoming update on the motor it will be quite near the Brose motor so really wondering why someone would pay double for the big S ?
Let's face it, it's a dud. Can't say that it wows me? the Avinox bikes look even more tempting now, I really don't like the look of the Gen 4 with it's chunky downtube and high price. It's the motor only, it would be impossible to ride anywhere near 28mph on the flat with 250w in total. On a road bike the ballpark is 400w to hold 28mphQuestion about shuttle class 3 mode. I read it is limited to 250W, is that the motor only, and on top of that I would add my own power? And what is the assistance level, 400% in that mode? If I input 150W, I would get 150W + 250W, so 400W total?
I tried class 3 mode on mine yesterday and it was okay on the flat but I did have to pedal fairly hard to get up over 20mph. Once I hit any sort of incline it slowed down to under 20mph and I had to really pedal pretty hard. This was on dirt for a 3 mile stretch when I came back the same route I just left it in Auto and did not even use the 28mph feature as I was able to go up hills faster with more assistance and I just had to pedal a bit harder to get over 20mph.It's the motor only, it would be impossible to ride anywhere near 28mph on the flat with 250w in total. I think I'm still suffering from PTSD (Pretty Thorough Specialized Disappointment).
so…….he doesn’t want to dwell on it but the Levo is already unreliable? Wow.
True. Amazingly the gen 1 levo is still the queitest full power motor imo.How about a gen3/4 noise comparison? Back in 2016, difference in power modulation/cadence support/noise between bosch cx gen2 and Levo first gen Brose motor was night and day.
As they say this is the first comparison there will be many moreso…….he doesn’t want to dwell on it but the Levo is already unreliable? Wow.![]()
Some cool bikes have been launched this week…..it’ll be really fun to see how it all works out.
I think labeling it unreliable is a stretch because of a minor problem less than one week out. in the owners manual there is an adjustment for the battery connection and obviously this just needed a bit of adustment and all was well. They did bring up the point that the amflow is probably being sold at a loss to gain market share and that makes perfect sense.so…….he doesn’t want to dwell on it but the Levo is already unreliable? I don’t have the same issue with the side load as others do.I think labeling it unreliable is a stretch because of a minor problem less than one week out. in the owners manual there is an adjustment for the battery connection and obviously this just needed a bit of adustment and all was well. The levo look is growing on me. Looks like a chubby SL and much cleaner than gen 3. the side load is not pretty but makes sense.
Ils ont toutefois souligné que l'Amflow est probablement vendu à perte pour gagner des parts de marché, ce qui est parfaitement logique.
The Brose Drive 3 will be below 3 Kilo‘s in weight.I think some early reports put the Drive 3 at 3.4kg, so they've done some work getting the weight down.
Early release numbers had the motor at 2.9 - which was either a lie or a mistake carried over from the Mag S. Everything after said 3.18kg.
It's heavy, BUT imagine if it's bullet proof ! 10 years on, you, or whomever you've passed Levobese onto, are still riding the same motor and it works faultlessly ! We'd probably forgive the extra weight for an easy and simple life !
Just sold my Kenevo 22 a few month ago now Having the gen 4 Levo Sworks. it is quieter especially under load. How about a gen3/4 noise comparison? How does the side load makes sense? The Rail+ comes out faster and its on the bottom of the down tube....I think labeling it unreliable is a stretch because of a minor problem less than one week out. in the owners manual there is an adjustment for the battery connection and obviously this just needed a bit of adustment and all was well.
