Still tempted by the frameset option. It looks like there is a hole that might be able to be used for a derailleur cable, but it's underneath the chainstay..
That fat downtube though.. :cautious:

Well, geo doesn't work too well for me, another bike doing the biggest jumps in the most statistically dense sizes, 455 is a touch too short for me, 480 is too big. Battery weight seems too high even though density is on par with Bosch.

"I was able to get around 23 miles of range and 4,000 vertical feet of climbing out of a full battery, and that’s using a mix of Turbo and Trail modes."
Again seems pretty poor...

After all the hype, my expectations were set too high hoping they might have made/paid for better battery density or a more efficient motor.

As a Gen 3 owner, I refuse to drink the Specialized Kool-Aid. There's nothing “Super” about the Gen 4. It’s overhyped, overweight and late to the party. Pretty disappointing, to be honest.

I’ll keep my current pimped-out Levo with its freshly rebuilt motor until something genuinely revolutionary and reliable hits the market, ideally a belt-driven gearbox system from a reputable brand.

Nothing "supernatural" to see here. 🥱
Time to hit the trails. 😉

Opinions are divided when it comes to the drive. The Avinox has noticeably more power and is also a little quieter. However, I find the Specialized motor somehow more harmonious and well-rounded. In terms of the bike itself, I think the Levo is clearly ahead in almost every respect, despite its higher overall weight.

I'm very disappointed. I've been buying the latest generation Levo since 2016, and I probably won't buy this one.

Far too heavy, plus the motor differences put me off.

it’s a quite heavy bike compared to previous generation but at list tyres should be main impact (grid trail to grid gravity). I really would love a SL with 480wh built-in battery…

Just seen this and im disapointed!

Im still riding my Gen 2 Levo, did think about upgrading but the Gen 4 puts me off for the following reasons

Two teir motor power, you have to buy the S works to get full power, seems a bit off to me, not sure why Spesh have done this and who's to say if you buy the Sworks for this reason and then later Spesh decide to release an update for the lower teir bikes upgrading them to the full power the S works has

The S works is now heavier than my gen 2 expert at 23.68kg

The battery is now fitted and removed from the side of the down tube rather than being slotted in from the bottom, doesnt look as nice

Yes it has a bit more power and a bigger battery but that dosent make up for the weight and two teir motor options

So it looks like this will be the first time i upgrade to a non Spesh e bike! which is a shame

The fast charger brick is not really mobile to take in backpack, hope there will be mobile version. The charging port is something new and bulky, could imagine the range extender plug might be broken away by bad landing...
