Rob is releasing a review next week so guessing he will talk about range. So looking to get a giant e+ 2022. 625wh battery. Seeing a few people getting very low range on their battery. New Yamaha motor not very efficient?

Ahh, the Zeb has a +3mm higher Axle to crown measurement than the Fox, so this will count for some difference, and possibly the DPX 2 will measure slightly different too like @Zimmerframe mentioned, although these minor differences I wouldn't have thought would have had such a large impact on the BB height.I measured many times, moved the bike around trying to get as upright as possible and took 5-6 pictures with tape measure and steel ruler. I always come to similar value +/- 342mm. Is it possible that the Shock “settles in" a little after some riding? Mine is fresh out of the box, not ridden even to bring it here. The E+2 has Zeb up front but Fox DPX2 in the back.
The Yamaha motors are normally fairly frugal on their power delivery. I think most people seem to be achieving average/expected range, but some people have reported that the motor feels "tight" for 300-500km's (depending how you use it) and then can free up. Others have just found it not that efficient, this could be that some motors have an intrinsic fault or just that this motor is more susceptible to different riding styles. So looking to get a giant e+ 2022. 625wh battery. Did you actually pull the stanchions UP to make sure? These are unweighted (zero sag) so should be like for like
329mm in high on mine in low I reckon it’s lower than your E-SommetDid you actually pull the stanchions UP to make sure?
Nice to see another Eeb without a sky high BB height tho
You are using foldable measure. By design most of them will show 2mm less because the tip is moving. Check it out.
Is anyone noticing that their Reign assistance cuts out a bit too early?
I suspected that mine was cutting out sooner than my Trek. Riding along a flat straight road on the Giant, as soon as my Garmin reads 23kph the motor is gone and it actually feels really bad cutting in and out constantly at that speed if there isn’t enough downward gradient to easily exceed the limit. I tried same road today on the trek, speed on the display matches the Garmin exactly and the motor is still working at 25kph. Motor noise stops completely at about 25.3kph. The transition between on and off on the Bosch is way smoother also.
Right now unless we get some experiences from people in New Zealand etc we are all riding them in the cold which will reduce the battery performance. So looking to get a giant e+ 2022. 625wh battery. Seeing a few people getting very low range on their battery. New Yamaha motor not very efficient?
I do understand that, but it's 12 degrees today. Rode a merida eeb in colder weather a few weeks ago and got far more range. Same size battery. Could be modes. Does the giant smart mode use more battery?Right now unless we get some experiences from people in New Zealand etc we are all riding them in the cold which will reduce the battery performance.

Hey I had my LBS exchange it for a 150mm...if the specs say 150 that's what I bought...Only 125mm dropper on my medium frame. Specs say 150mm. Got a one up 185mm on order so I don’t care but other ppl will be mad.

That's what I am looking at also...150 is just a bit to short. I have an M also...haven't ridden it yet...how tall are you?I use oneup 180 size M
5mm longer fork well only lift bb about 2mm, its pivoting at the rear axle.I just checked out Fox's technical drawings. Surprised to see that they list a fork tolerance measurement of ± 5mm on their specs when looking at the Axle to Crown measurements.
Easy to see why we can have quite different measurements really, I'm assuming all the parts will have similar tolerance % differences...
Either way, my Giant Reign still has a low BB (for an EEB!)

Yep, mine too. A little disappointing but I think they must of run out of 150mm posts and used the 125mm laying around.... I've asked my LBS to go back to Giant and see if they can get a 150mm post. If not, it's not the end of the world, 27.5 rear wheel avoids some of the possible buzz you may get on a 29er.Only 125mm dropper on my medium frame. Specs say 150mm. Hy I had the 125 also, asked the LBS where I bought the bike to change it for a 150...If the specs on your country say 150 that's what giant owns you...of course if there is no small print lurking around somewhere...Yep, mine too.
