I'm not trying to put it down but running a 246mm rear rotor just seems so unnecessary. I'll switch back and forth between my Galfer 223mm and 203mm rotors and at times I think even the 223mm is total over kill with my Trickstuff Maximas.
Yeah, I have no issues locking up my rear 200mm brake with 1 finger all day with my Hope brakes. 223 is overkill for me on the rear and I can’t even imagine using a 246mm on the rear. I’d be skidding every turn.

Ran it by Leo and he didn’t know of a reason why it wouldn’t work off the top of his head.

It was a fail anyway. Something’s wrong with the design of those rotors. The warp way out of shape when they get hot.

What do you weigh on 200s? I’m captaining the meat wagon over here 🥩
80 kg with gear dripping wet.

They probably removed too much material trying to make a massive rotor light.
Or it could be the tension on the steel. They heat up and wang back to their natural tensionless state.

Yeah I reckon maybe they need to be thicker beyond 223.

Anyone using the Kiox 300?
Any pics of it mounted?
I wish it was just flush mounted in the top tube like Levo’s mastermind or how Crestline flush mounted it in the top tube.
Is it worth having?….I’m used to the Levo Mastermind but I don’t think I will like the the look of the Kiox 300 clamped on anywhere.

If the kiox 300 is purchased with the bike and I don’t like it, I’m guessing I can disconnect it/remove it and ride without it?….. I’m new to Bosch.

Anyone running 155 cranks? I was going to on my Gen3 Levo to reduce pedal strikes because I ride very chunky volcanic rock. (Still running 160s)
Not sure I need to run 155s with the Voimas high BB.

Not sure I need to run 155s with the Voimas high BB.
No bashing of cranks here and I'm running the stock 160mm crank and am 10mm lower due to mullet.
Plus I ride some big chunk.

I dont think 155 is required on the Voima.

I came from a Gen 3 Levo to the Voima and running shorter cranks isn’t really needed on the Voima. On the Levo is was almost a necessity if you ran it in low.

Sooo…It looks like Pole will be releasing a 170 mm Vioma.

I probably would have waited if I’d known and ordered the 170 mm instead (looks like that version is mullet).

They have it listed on their site now with no release date yet.

Can you not just change the stroke lengths on the shock and fork
I just paid for it last week and confirmed the order, no ship date yet.

I‘m still deciding if I will mullet it.

i’m not sure how changing the travel 20 mm would affect the geo/BB height….too much of a hassle.

I guess it is better to have more travel than you need rather than not enough.

That's the gravity range so should have more travel. Voimas been classed as trail now apparently
The onni s-onni range has 180 and 200mm options in mullet, 29er motor, no motor options.

It's basically Voima v2 with more options, 1kg lighter frame, more progressive, but has the motor fully exposed.

Yeah, classing a Voima as a trail bike is misleading it is most definitely not a trail bike. It is superenduro at least and closer to a dh bike with a motor than anything.

I think the trail call from pole is just marketing hype to differentiate there new range.

I’m curious to see what exactly will be different between the Voima 170 mm mullet version and the 190 mm.

If I make my 190 mm mullet, I know the SA and HA will get slacker between 0.5 and 1.0 degree depending on the rear tire I run (and how much it will lower the BB height).

They also told me I can use an angleset to adjust the HA.

Regarding the new downhill bike, I see the new DH bike option size K1 (no K0) has a shorter reach than the Vioma’s…and it looks like the motor is protected inside the frame in the configuration picture.

The area around the motor on the website is just photo shopped to give a possible idea of what they may do, much of the design hasn't been finalised yet.

I'm all in on the Voima for the travel.
Yeah, there is really no valid reason to have less travel on a Voima. It pedals so good and climbs so good as is, why would you give up travel and loose DH capabilities when you won’t gain anything else? I think Pole is really just trying to appeal to people that want something more conventional and can’t comprehend that you’re not losing anything by having more travel. Same reason for creating the Onno/S-onni. It just looks more conventional, especially the rear triangle.

I’m thinking of switching to a Wild, feel like I want a slightly more nimble bike.

Is the shipping more complicated and more expensive for a complete bike shipped to the USA, in stead of just ordering just a frame set?
I’m trying to decide whether I should just buy a Frameset and build it the way I want or buy the complete bike and swap out what I want different on it.
No response from Pole on this yet.

What’s crazy to me is if I buy just the Race frameset and then on my own ONLY purchase a Zeb Ultimate, AXS dropper, and XX t-type, I’ll be at approx $11,150!
Or If I bought the complete race bike with the Zeb Ultimate, AXS dropper, and XX t-type, and everything else that completes the bike I’d be paying $11,200!! Then I would sell off the new brakes, rims/tires, cranks, bar & stem, rear shock, to install what I want.
It seems the framset should be cheaper!
