Its been a good few years since Ive been up there Richy ..and never on the route you took ( started Garrigill ) ..
Im interested in the route you took back from High Cup Nick ..would I be right in assuming it was on the bridleway over Murton Fell..skirting Murton Pike ?
Having not ridden that section what is the track like ..grassy ? rocky? highly technical or flowing ?
Also what was the little squiggly loop you did on that section ..I cant work it out from that map ..?
Or have I got the direction wrong and you climbed up from Murton?
Cheers ..

Yesterday's ride was a test of the Rise's battery.

I set off from the upper barn at Rivington, up to the Pigeon Tower, the Pike and then the gradual climb up to the top of Winter Hill before dropping into Belmont, taking the Witton Weavers Way over to Jubilee Tower and then back again.

Just shy of 3500ft of climbing, 25.9 miles (41.5 km), 1700 kCals and arrived back with less than 20% battery (light was red on the mini switch box - need to log onto bike to see just how low it went). (EDIT: 16% left so good for at least a few more miles!)

Relive video of route...
