NICE - what frame size is that? I’m 188cm and have a XL on order but now concerned it may be too big.
Medium.

99 bikes?shocked - My 2021 10k has arrived in the store.......didnt expect it until late December. Is part of the first drop that has had a motor swap.
Picking it up next week
yep99 bikes?
Waiting for me to pick iy up. But we are flying to Rotorua to ride this week so it will have to be Monday I reckon
wasn't expecting it until late december - bumped into the sales guy in Bunning yesterday and he told me it had shown up! Apparently Merida shipped a bunch of bikes without motors and the EP8s have landed in NZ nowThat sounds like some terrible planning. LOL
But guess you cant fly with it.

enjoying the bike?Correct. Thats how I got mine. The guys at Shimano NZ went and fitted the motors.

nice! I didnt have a choice on model - it was the full monty or wait until march. I was going to go either 8k or the one I got which may sound perverse but I was weighing up grades vs none necessary. In the end I have ridden a 38 and really liked it so you only live onceReally like it. I have a level of arthritis and the better suspension is a game changer in my pain levels.
And short chainstays make it easy to manual off drops etc.
Where are you located?shocked - My 2021 10k has arrived in the store.......didnt expect it until late December. Is part of the first drop that has had a motor swap.

Oh boy I cannot wait for my E160 9000 now even more!!! Great feedback especially against the Meta Power and Levo which I was looking at too.The bike rips. I am so glad I waited for the E160. Handling was my 100% main thing....I have raced downhill and own a very sorted enduro bike.
This thing handles beautifully.....I will go out on a limb and ay I didnt really like the Levo, Trek Rail and Commencal 29 nor the Pivot....thay are all 29 but I think its more than that. I am very lucky as the Fact X2 and 38 are top drawer but I was alway disappointed in the 36 Factory on my Zerode. The 38 feel absoluelty like Fox 40's I have had on various DH bikes. I could tell the moment I jumped on the bike that this was the right choice for me. Re motor etc. I was surprised that I wasn't too bothered by the clutch rattle - I am super fussy about noise...thing is the rest of the E160 is so quiet.
Standouts.
Handling handling handling. Its the first E bike I have ridden where I haven't felt like I was fighting it at some point in a descent
Quiet (apart from EP8) XTR brakes are sensational.
Tyre selection on the stock bike is perfect.
All the nice little details - the 10Kmodel basically as good or better than an S works Levo for a ton less cash.
Light for what it is
Colour... very Buck Rogers purple and silver....it will probably get a lot of attention
Trail Mode on the EP8 seems to be exactly what I wanted... a tuneable version of the Bosch EMTB mode
Not so fabulous.
Merida saddle is very hard..shame as it has the tool built in.
EP8 Rattle - but I can live with it
Motor roll off when you ease off the torque is quite pronounced so you do get a bit of a yo yo action if your pedalling isn't super smooth...perhaps dialling in the profile will help
Access to light and profiles ought to be better - its buried in the menu a bit.
I thought you could create more profiles on the app and up[loade to the unit but it seems not.
E Tube app seems to have some maps stuff but I can't figure out how to use it
For me its the best that I have ridden out of Commencal, Trek Rail, Levo and Pivot Shuttle - those are the bikes I tested....Brose Bosch and Shimano.

That's what I have been told too. 99 bikes in Melbourne.Anyone in Australia get an updated eta from 99 bikes recently? Last I heard was early December.

Cheers, I hope that happens, can’t wait to get my e160 9000According to my local dealer (not 99bikes) Merida Aus have indicated that hope to start shipping e160s to dealers next week.
No updates on my e140 though...
Same here! Hanging for it!Cheers, I hope that happens, can’t wait to get my e160 9000
Mine was a bike that was shipped in oct without a motor. So I must have one of the few ep8 e160s in NZ - lucky me
what forks?Yes lucky you are.
Fitted a Luftkappe in my forks. Tomorrow should be a more plush ride.
what forks?
Got 38s on the 10k and they are fantastic, first fork I haven't wanted to fiddle with...but its early days! 106PSI....tunning 10 clicks out LSR and 1 click out HSR.....so v similar to running 10 clicks out with only one rebound control.. base settings on comp. If you have the bleeder valves you can compress fork slightly them push bleeders-- give a small suck down that increases small bumpMy 9000 comes with fox 38s.
