Like I said, in my opinion, a Kenevo with a 38 would or the new RS Zeb would be a nice sweet spot between the two existing models. Dual crowns are great, but not for all riding and all trails, and a lot of the stuff I access they would cause problems particular accessing the trail on the climbs up.

@wgr73 asked for opinions, its mine that if you have a 38 to hand give it a try.

Thanks for the recommendation! I think i will probably try it out.

Well specialised can't replace my dropper due to no stock. They have offered me a reverb so I get to upgrade to the axs for £150.

Not bad!

Well i just completed the 2.1 Damper upgrade. Hope to have my wheels back tomorrow to test out how it feels.

Not that hard to do but i probably made it way harder than it needed to be. Some silly mistakes cost me some time and hassle.

Need a bit of help guys. I’m currently mid-brake swap and I’ve disconnected the rear brake at the lever, attached a spare bit of cable outer to use as a guide and now i’m trying to pull it out the frame. I’ve removed the headtube cable guide, loosened the two around the rear shock and removed the one on the chainstay.

They cable is really stiff around the motor though. I will be able to pull it out with some force but I worry about feeding the new one in. Do I need to remove the motor cover?

Yeah its a screen shot from the RS ZEB launch vid, still in my mind a similar build would make sense in the Kenevo Line up

Enjoy!! I have the same one, by far the best bike I have ever owned. I grew up in Norcal pretty close to Specialized but never bought one. I was into GT and Giant in the late 90's early 2000's then left mtb for MX. Back in action in 2020 and am a full blown Spec fanboy now..... BTW, 220 rotors front and rear are the secret weapon for this bike as the stock setup leaves a bit to be desired as far as braking performance. In any event, totally "shredable" with stock settings, have fun!

I'm tempted to do this - what parts did you use/need to change?

I always rode Specialized, but then went to Santa Cruz bikes. When I recently started consider the eMTB option, this beastie was an obvious standout as I’m a big guy. This is also a big bike, and yes the brakes do feel a little overburdened currently! I was thinking XT, but leaving it at rotor swaps sounds budget friendly!

220 hope rotors but you can also find them from sram, galfer and magura. For the boxxer you need a +20mm post to post adapter, I have a shimano adapter with saints. For the rear you need a +40mm post to post adapter. Magura qm45 will do the trick. Pretty sure you can get one from sram and hope as well. In any event, rotor size upgrade front and rear was game changing for me.

Good day all!

In case any one is interested, I fitted a Wolftooth B-Rad bottle shift on the bike in order to install properly a OneUp pump and multitool. The setup is great and it even fits a bigger bottle. I did not use the SWAT bottle cage though, there was no need. The cranks clear nicely on both sides.

The GRIP2 damper has also been installed on the fork, needs more tuning though. Unfortunately it takes time to tune in the fork especially since the Shockwiz I have failed and is back for warranty claim... Hopefully I will have it back soon.

Next weekend we go racing!!

Hi all, I need to order a 650lb spring for my Kenevo Expert (RockShox Super Deluxe Coil Select Plus, 62.5x230mm). My local shop says they are backordered and it took them a week to look into it so I'm pretty anxious to find another coil that might work or a different vendor who might have stock. I'm in California, US, but for a coil I could probably order from anywhere if anywhere.

If anyone has a lead, I'd love to hear!

Many thanks,

Brett

Just to confuse you more, I’m running the Hope v4s with 225 front and 200mm vented/floating rears. Works extremely well pulling up 27kg + me @85kg kitted up.
No brake fade ever and great consistent lever feel at all times.

I ordered a 650 spring from Mountain Bike Suspension Servicing, Repair and Parts - TF Tuned a while back. They are in the UK but ship internationally, didn't take long to arrive.
