Saddle and dropper delivered today, took me much longer to fit than it would usually ( using one arm mainly ) but so easy still.

Stationery testing seems very smooth and easy to use, seat seems quite comfortable but may take some getting used to now ive removed the suspension aspect.

Have you not had a dropper before?
Its a game changer.
Not a working one lol i had a manual dropper that i bought cheap to test but it never really worked from day one and acted more like a suspension seat post, at the beginning it would drop but you had to manually force it back up ( and i literally mean force it lol ) it eventually stopped working altogether so i bought a suspension seat post ( xlc ) which was good.

I guess the need to drop and raise has now become more a necessity than the suspension aspect so decided to bite the bullet.

Been wanting a rack for ages.... opted for the buzz rack, hopefully a good choice but so long as it carries the bike safety it will do

Helmet, Chin mount for camera and cranks all delivered .

The helmet is very nice, never having owned a fullface before i dont have anything to compare it against other than my non fullfaces.
Its light, snug but very comfortable. Field of view is not compromised at all really.

Chin mount straps on very easy and look forward to trying this view of recording.

Cranks are nice, feel very well made and lighter than old cranks ( ive reduced by 10mm ) which were the Miranda's. The fsa cranks at 160mm fitted as expected ( not entirely true as i winged it and just hoped they were the right ones ) so again looking forward to trying these out.

Still not mobile enough to ride as the shoulder is still struggling to recover !! might need to visit physio if no improvement by weekend

Buzzed up so easy to build and fix.
Also comes in really handy as a bike stand when not needed affixed to the petrol guzzler.

I've always only ever rode to where i know i can reach it back home but now i have the travel option i can hopefully explore new places. View attachment 89341

That’ll open up a whole new world of mtb’ing for you. Are you far from Sheffield? You might enjoy Grenoside, good place to learn fast berms, tables and progress to gaps. The Steel City line has just been refurbished too and looks absolutely mint

Got out today, felt good getting back on it. Very casual ride mainly to test the shoulder and albeit a bit painful, I still had a good ride.

The bike felt nice as though it appreciated the new upgrades

the free hub could be destroyed id check that first as tend to put cheap crappy hubs on these things
Thanks, only just built the wheels really as well ffs, so will need a new hub if it is that and might just get someone else to do the wheel building this time as it was a pita.

Do you think my wheel building might have caused the hub to fail ? or just generally wear out over time ? Bikes done 2200 miles now and its the original hub ( one of the few parts still oem lol ).

Ironically it was suggested to swap the hub on the new wheel build but thought it was fine as i regularly service all but motor on my bike

yep, came to that conclusion after visiting 3 lbs but non are able to help lol.
so i need to either...
1. Replace the pawls ( unable to source the same 3 tooth style that my freehub body has ),
2. Replace the full freehub body ( Again its proving difficult to find like for like ),
3. Get a full new rear hub !!

Ideally option 1 and 2 are most favoured due to costs of new hubs but the issue im having is that the freehub body has 3 pawls and each of the pawls have 3 teeth as apposed to majority ive seen having just single or 2.

Haibike sourcing nightmares incoming once again i think
