Update on fall:
Spent hours waiting to be seen in A&E last night only to be told the remaining people that had not been seen yet would not be seen and to go back today !!

Basically kicked us out without being seen

Went to my GP today and got checked over, GP is not sure if i have broke anything but is optimistic that i haven't, Supplied me with an X-ray card which means i basically go straight to X-ray and not have to wait in A&E to be seen.

I am hopeful i can get to X-ray either tomorrow or Friday.

Ice and painkillers are helping in the meantime ( along with the alcohol lol ).

Hopefully you'll keep feeling better and get an all clear from the x-ray
Thanks @Jackware yeah hopefully i get off lucky with this one. The timing has been so inconvenient not that its ever a good time but any other time would have been easier.

Been scouting around for new cranks and decided to go with these FSA 160mm which will hopefully arrive before im fit again lol.

the 320's look more offset than the 220's but im thinking thats what the 32 markings on the original maranda's might be.
End of the day i dont think more offset will be extremely detrimental other than wider leg stance when seated !! might even bring a nice welcome breeze in certain places lol.

Does your motor definitely have the JIS/square crankshaft?
I didn't know Haibike used those
I honestly dont know, this bike ( the 2.5 hardseven ) is totally different than most of the other haibikes with parts, its a constant nightmare sourcing stuff for it.
The FSA info states its for the yamaha pw series so fingers crossed.

post #43 in here shows the fitting and it looks like square taper to me. i got tired of trying to figure out the difference of square, diamond, jis and isis a while back. totally forgot about it all until you mentioned it

Heh Slym, I’ve found this shop really useful in the past for sourcing hard to find Haibike spares:

Been to X-ray and got a specialist to look at it whilst i waited to see if i needed A&E referral!!
Initial visual results are of no acute damage and because i am managing the pain they are happy to let me leave my GP will receive the full formal results to relay back to me. YAY it looks like i got off really lucky ( although it doesn't feel that way ) and no significant damage inflicted.

Before getting my ebike i had never had an accident riding and since ive had quite a few falls, 1 over the bar and my last fall knocked some sense into me.
Both over the bar and my last fall i would say i got really lucky as they could have been worse.
Never thought i rode hard enough to warrant body armour but in reality you can fall at any level and cause injury so ive decided to get some body armour.
IMG_20220520_162421.jpg

Not the most expensive nor the cheapest and might be a bit overkill but think from now on its better to be safe than stuck indoors not able to ride.

on a bit of a shopping spree....

Love the suspension post i have atm but been missing the drop option so decided to get a remote dropper, ive intentionally bought the external version for future ease of service etc but will easily semi internally fit through top tube as the haibike has cable slots available and unused which will minimise the cable routing but also make it simple to remove if and when.

My saddle is a tad worn so since swapped to my scott saddle from the analog bike but its got hints of red ( my fav colour mind ) that is not a matchy matchy lol so got a new saddle too.

Injury update: Fooookin sucks not being able to ride,
Shoulder is still in agony and now due to compensating everything to my left im starting to pull and twist muscles in the left lol.
Feeling slight improvement in movement but still going to be a while i think

That is it buy your bike some new parts that will make you feel better 😇

Where you mount your camera when filming I tried using go pro today when sitting down it is perfect but soon as stand on pedal leaning forward and chop top half of screen off looks very fast though lol

haha yeah good old retail therapy

Do you use the upside down mounting method ? ( on a chest mount ? )

Have a look at the footage here when sitting down it is fine but soon as stand up get more of the floor than anything else

So when your camera is attached to your chesty, the upside down method will be like this

IMG_20220523_131616.jpg

( camera upsidedown ) so when your sitting it will record a bit too high etc but when you stand and are more forward the camera will be more level.

As opposed to this way ( camera correct way )

you just need to remember to edit ( rotate ) your footage if you dont have the image flip settings in your camera.

make sense ?

Yes that does make sense or is it better to stick a mount on helmet then ? Just always little Cautious about sticking stuff to helmet as I thought glue was bad for the helmet

i like to mix my angles up so do have a helmet mount too, i dont trust the adhesive stick on mounts so i use them ones that have the side strap holes and use straps to secure to helmet.
zip ties can work good too.
you can kind of see what i mean here hopefully.

im always hitting branches etc so needed a more secure mount than just sticky thing lol.

cant feel it underneath so all good.

Your head acts as a natural gimbal so footage will nearly always be smoother from helmet but its all about preferred angle, i love the bar mount footage but my camera has poor stabilization. Took me ages to figure the upsidedown trick but seems its a very well known method afterall.

i have a powerbank attached to my chesty for extra battery but it also acts as a perfect angle stop.

Ok brilliant I will try the chesty first with mounting like you suggested and see how that looks but looking at way mounted now think it will be fine for when standing just will be sporting areoplane when sitting down lol

To be honest I won’t use it all the time was just a bit of fun as I don’t think my riding is that exciting. Not like I am at red bull rampage getting massive air lol

haha you've obviously not seen my footage, looking at your video your riding is good and easily watchable. i do my vids more for me to look back on but try to make them as entertaining as i can ( very hard to do at my riding level lol ).

its your channel and if you enjoy recording your rides then do it. you can always set videos as private.

Excuse me for butting into your conversation, but I just want to encourage you to keep filming & uploading!

I watch loads of POV videos on YouTube. Yes I watch all the pro’s hitting the gnarly stuff, but I also enjoy watching your average Joe ride their local trails. The pro’s are great to watch, but there’s so much of it that it all becomes the same after a while, whereas watching regular trail riders riding the terrain that most of us can ride & enjoy is beneficial & entertaining too

YouTube provides a fantastic searchable database full of trails filmed in POV, and it means we can check out the conditions of trails and work out some lines to take prior to riding them. I always search for a new location on YT prior to riding the trails and watch as many edits as possible. Some will be pro riders, others full-time ‘YouTubers’ and many are just guys like you uploading footage from their recent rides, which are just as useful to watch

Some of my favourite YouTube channels to watch are people who are learning to ride mtb and document their progression on the bike. You know full well that they’re stoke level is at an all time high when nailing their first 1ft drop, or clearing a small table with a perfect landing. It may not be as visually exciting to watch as a pro dropping off a 20 ft high boardwalk ramp or clearing a 40ft gap, but you can feel the emotion and excitement in the small achievements made

Just my opinion anyway!
