You just can’t make a side loader look good and it’s definitely pink.

Some might call it pink but it's not a true pink. Here are a few more fitting names than just pink....
  • Champagne Metallic
  • Desert Sand
  • Rose Gold
  • Titanium Blush
  • Copper Frost
  • Matte Taupe
  • Sandstone
To me, this best name out of these is Sandstone. It looks very much like a shade of the stones you'd see in desert landscape like Utah or Arizona. Desert Sand or Matte Taupe also fit.

Finally a picture of the side loader (non-drive side) down tube. Look fine to me, nice how they carried the stiffining ridge/line/shape from the headtube to the bottom bracket area. I was fearing a longer penetration and possibly a separate SWAT access (like the cheesy abs plastic SWAT cover on the Stumpy -located under the bottle cage). Works for me, good thing since I have already committed to purchase the bike arriving tomorrow.

I asked this a while back but got no answer. Is there any security to stop someone with an allen key from simply opening the door & taking the battery when it loaded up on the back of a car?

That is a positive feature in having a bottom install battery like the gen 3.
Be a bummer to lock your bike and have to remove the battery every time.
They gotta have a way to secure it maybe with the software engaging something on the inside of the cover to keep it from being removed.
I hop….

Plus having the swat tool in the stem gives someone the tool they need to do it.
Maybe it’s not an Allen head but maybe a torx or security head of some sort.

We’ll know in a couple days.

Ran across these this morning at the shop picking up a cassette. I love the pink (rose gold?) frame, iffy on the side loading, and the fact that to get Avinox-competitive power and charging you have to shell out 13+ grand for S works makes me even happier with my Amflow.

I usually don’t like red, but that burnt cherry gloss Sworks looks great! Crossing my fingers for new frameset from Spesh once warranty claim sorted out.

I would never leave my bike on car not in sight regardless, but I live in bike theft land. Always Ulock on for very brief grab something in store stop at most here. Bike goes in car otherwise if out of sight for more than a couple of minutes

Has there been any info released regarding battery and range extender weight and price?

... thinking that the 600 battery with the 280 RE would be suitable for most of my riding adventures.

Specialized has always had crappy colors. My Blue S-Works Gen 3 Levo is just ok, but is basically crap. Who makes the color decisions at Specialized, the Founder? The color looks like the Rose Gold Color Apple used some years ago!
Tot agree with you , I was hoping for a nice white or grey like the new santa Cruz vala, even a yellow , I love my gen 3 in red , i just like the brighter colours

so the workshop manager went to a weeks training on the new bike and he DOES NOT LIKE E-BIKES needless to say he was blown away with how well it rides and handles says with out a doubt the best bike he’s ridden
Says plenty falls because it’s just so fast , also I was worried about wet conditions , says spesh on a training vid Submerged a bike for 2 mins took bike out drained water switched on a rode it . Was a concern for me we have allot of water now on trails , he explained that the didn’t focus on water proofing in as much as water shedding and making sure water get out and released out super fast
So let’s see when the reviews flood in

well, honestly, after seeing the photo of the side, I have to admit that this is the first turbo levo that I wouldn't run to the store to buy. I understand Specialized's technical choices but the result is partly disappointing. There are some aspects that disappointed me, starting with the choice of
colors, which I imagine we can discuss in the future...

This is going be every comp owner explaining how it’s not pink to the boys on the trails.

like I have been saying all along... They designed this about 3 years ago and due to delay it's now meh... that side loading battery is horrible. But will people buy it? YES - because of the good support Sepz offers. The only premium you're paying for is the great after sales support, nothing special about their ebikes.

Agreed with this, they should have given this to the Market pre the AMflow being launched, missed an opportunity imo. It looks nice in the right colour but that’s about it it’s 2nd division frame, battery, motor wise. Agree the only reason to own this over the AMflow is the back up and support, which is actually a very good reason with an EMTB..
