A bike is a bike. Instead of being lighter, it is getting heavier. So far, it is average. I do not understand this excitement. Because they finally took the belt out of the engine? Bosch has had metal gears for a long time and is quite failure-free. We will wait and see.

how come no one is talking about the fact that the transmission is powered by the main battery? I think that is pretty cool!

Interesting bike. Is there a real need for that clear plastic disc between cassette and spokes? haven‘t seen that for quite some time:

It’s kinda funny reading a lot of the comments on this thread.
Expectation of something new is always fun to banter about I get that.
In the “original” thread there was a lot of sh-t talk about the “other bike that won’t be named” and people were criticizing it for having a lighter SL style frame, wireless controller, higher NM, and higher Wattage.
Now all I read about are of a lot of guys on here wanting this Gen4 model with MORE NM, MORE wattage, and even being deristricted to 28mph. Even though price will be significantly higher.

As far as changing battery configuration goes I agree it’s nice to have options to a point.
I even purchased a “new“ 500w battery to have as a lighter option which I never even rode in the bike, not once, saving 2 lbs on a ride wasn’t worth the effort for me.
In fact I just sold it to a guy up north from me so hopefully he will get some usage out of it.

My Levo came with a 700w battery and that serves me well as I tend to finish 90% of my rides with 25-30% remaining. So using the 500w version would of been cutting it to close for me.
I also added an aftermarket “boost” battery giving me an additional 252w that are used in conjunction with the main pack for the 10% I do longer rides on.

Do I think having a bike that can select 28mph max on the trails instead of the standard class 1 20mph will make any difference? Naw, it’s won’t be an issue at all.

A guy I occasionally ride with has a Bafang ultra motor on his ride, with throttle, and the only time he drops me is on a long fire road going uphill. Anything technical he can’t keep up, or going down as well.
I have ridden all over Southern Cal, Az, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, and even up into Washington and have never had anyone sound me or inquire about how fast my bike can go or what the wattage or max mph will do.
Kind of an honor system I guess.

Another thing, I’m not seeing much in the way of “discounts” for the 24/25 Gen 3 models.
their pretty much holding the same as they were a year ago.
Buddy just bought 2 months ago a 25 Expert in that mustard color and he payed 9k plus another 8 bills for tax and he didn’t even get a set of cheap pedals on the deal.

Im Definetly not knocking Specialized here so don’t get it twisted. This is the best bike I have ever ridden and I have only had it for 9 months or so. But to try to sell it for maybe 4k and then get a newer Gen4 version and then still upgrade the components I listed in post #444 which would set me back more $ I can’t see it happening for me anyway.
Maybe when the new models hit the floor they’ll reduce the pricing on their remaining stock but that’s just a guess.

Once this bike is actually out and about we will see all that it has to offer, probably 90% out there now, so to see the remaining 10% will answer any remaining questions.

One thing I wish they would of changed is how the bike charges.
Looks like the plug cap above the motor on the NDS would be for the boost battery and not a charging port.
Having to open up and unplug/ plug back in motor harness every time is kinda a weak point I think especially with any dirt getting inside the plug/ socket assembly with the magnetic pins are concerned.

Like I mentioned earlier the new charger that is capable of “fast” charging at 12 amps and not getting hot hopefully would be addressed as I didn’t see a cooling fan or heat sink from the pic I saw. Maybe there is one I hope so.
I know my standard 4a charger gets hotter than sh-t, which I am told be numerous people is normal. Brother I was an electrician all my life and heat like that isn’t normal if ya ask me, but nobody did so I digres.

All this being said I hope to see one in the wild here before to long or at least until another popular manufacturer has a “revolutionary design” to showcase and then that thread will go to 100+ pages.
Good thing I’m retired and have time to read all this shitte.

I'm thinking more like "Great bike, fantastic motor. Nothing really ground breaking in today's market, Happy that it's also available in Piss Flap Pink Oral Pink"
Take a look around you and check out the latest trends.
PINK IS HOT🔥B

2025 analyzed color choices from users worldwide and found these colors were the most popular in branding and logo design:
Red #bf1922
Clay #c99383
Wood #b17a50
Yellow #facf39
Mustard #ffc93c

What is your best guess as to when discounts start? As someone who's actually thinking of buying it, I don't clearly remember how soon they've started discounting the gen3 and Levo SL gen2 - I think 4 months after launch? Wondering if I can wait and get it at a (more) decent price by summertime. Thoughts?

Most of the people I know in the market for a new bike are waiting to see what other bikes end up with the Avinox motor, they want that motor but just not the Amflow bike. I doubt it will be on sale by summertime though, maybe by the end of the summer depending on how well they sell.

Haha - don‘t remind me. Bought my Levo Sl in April last year and it was discounted in Q4 by 25%. But you have the same problem - you want to have it and you want it now 😀

Thanks. Any idea if the speed limit switching will make it in the EU models? Or are we stuck with 25kmh only?
Probably not. 45km/h would mean S-pedelec status in EU, which means insurance, plates and license to ride. Also, it would restrict heavily where you could ride. And the bike should be fitted with rear mirrors, fixed lights etc.

So not going to happen.

I know frikken so disappointed R you also waiting or a supplier ?
Waiting for the Frameset ...
I don't like the spec on the S-works full bike (I am not a fan of Kashima) so want to go the Rockshox route and the Wireless XTR Shifters and brakes. (just to be different)when they land
Could get a comp (but I don't like pink bikes and the orange is just too out there) and I am scared ill miss out on the extra 10mn.
But I will generally ride the bike in the new Auto mode anyways for most of the time ... So will see when they land what colour I like the most.

Respectfully, I've never understood the logic of not allowing a class 3 on trails if the only distinction between it an a class 1 is the maximum speed it will go. I completely understand and agree with not allowing motorized bikes with throttles on trails.

Not allowing a class 3 mountain bike on a trail because it is capable of going faster than 20mph is the same logic as not allowing a car to drive on a road that can go faster than the posted speed limit.

If your concern is people promising to go slow and not following rules, highly experienced analog riders often go much faster downhill and any e-bike rider can also go faster than the pedal assist limit when doing downhill. When I'm on paved roads going downhill, my bike often goes into the mid 30s.

I bought a Bulls Iconic specifically because it's a class 3 because the majority of my use is riding locally along the coast from my home. It's at least 1 hour round trip for me to drive to any trails. When I do ride on trails, I never go over 20mph and most of the time, much less than that.

If the concern is a bike that can go faster than the posted limit, I live in California and every time I see a posted speed limit on a trail, it is 15mph, so with this thinking, perhaps class 1 bikes shouldn't be allowed on these same trails either.
My concern isn't safety, but rather politics. It's already a constant fight to get ebikes allowed at all, and this is an arrow in the quiver of the gatekeepers.

Memorial Day in the USA, about a month after release.

I’d wait for the new Shimano motor it’s pretty fantastic.

Same here, I am fan of Manitou Mezzer+ Mara Pro + Dominion A4 brakes.
Build wheels with Duke etc ..

But unfortunately, the frame is also overpriced...

New on here what up peeps. I’ve got a turbo Levo G4 pro on order, my LBS has one in I rode it yesterday the motor feels fucking great and insanely quiet, but 52lbs and the downtube is massive like wtf specialized! I’m sure it’s gonna go insane but I’m struggling mentally with the aesthetics of the CHODE of a downtube. Im gonna ride it out tho, I got 15% off the new bike, the AMFLOW is not coming available in the US anytime soon and prices are all going up now…..soooo

I'm not too crazy about that. Much of our local riding is in the mountains next to wilderness areas. No services, few people, in the backcountry. If I ran out of main battery, or there's a power system failure, not being able to shift while pedaling out would not be fun.

Admittedly a worst case scenario, but for my use case, it's something to think about.

I think you can swap in a battery if you need to. Something else to carry, but not a big deal on those long days.

Good luck to all of you with bikes coming this week. Lucky you.
About to move house so no spare cash at the moment but maybe add to the mortgage. Who knows. Any donations welcome.
Well I am looking forward to seeing one in the wild as no local spesh shop near me to pop into.

You can still run the sram battery if you needed to as a backup.
