Said this before its Champagne and not Pink.. learn colors..
Agreed with this, they should have given this to the Market pre the AMflow being launched, missed an opportunity imo. It looks nice in the right colour but that’s about it it’s 2nd division frame, battery, motor wise. Agree the only reason to own this over the AMflow is the back up and support, which is actually a very good reason with an EMTB..
Like a lot of others have said visually the new bike is not for me. With the way the market has caught up too, there is many other choices at lower prices with similar support.
YesSo the gen4 is specced with the "old" butcher tires?
Whatever these colors meanAre they really only offering two colours for the comp build? Surely they would include a plain black/dark colour at that price level? The comp is gonna be your biggest volume seller so you want want it to appeal to as many people as possible. A plain black/dark grey version is surely the best way to do that.
So they will even offer multiple pink colors??Whatever these colors mean
Comp Alloy ->
Comp ->
- Gloss Deep Lake Metalic / Dune White
- Satin Dusky Pink / Cypress Metalic
- Satin Gunmetal / Obsidian
- GLOSS ORANGE TINT OVER SILVER DUST / DARK NAVY
- SATIN CHAMPAGNE / METALLIC OBSIDIAN

Good point..The bikes been a long time in development due to the motor change from the original Mahle to the Brose. As you say, in that time, things have moved on a lot.
Downtubes have got larger on average over time with the desire for larger batteries. Motors have generally slowly shrunk.
The Amflow jumped along to what we'd sort of expect with development, even smaller motor area with similar (or more) power and slimmer downtubes.
OK, these certainly won't be the only reason's why person X buys bike Y, but from an aesthetics point of view, the gen4 (whilst moving away from the pregnant snake motor area look) just seems very vanilla to 99% of everything else out there at the moment.

Mentioned in a earlier thread the Mechi at Specialized JHB rode one at their training conference , he does NOT LIKE E-BIKES and he said it was the best MTB he’s every riden , Center of gravity response from the motor usability as far as all the components together are second to none and he rides all the completion bikes to understand how they ride and the advantage of buying a SPesh over a Santa Cruz etc etcI swear some of you guys don’t actually ride?!
All this talk about the colours, the remote, the down tube, the side loading battery and hatch, the colours, the pricing, the on paper power figures, the weight, the colours, the battery sizes, ‘last years’ tyres, oh, and did I mention the colours?!
Nobody asking how it rides, it’s like the EMTB forum has crashed into the Shein one or something!![]()
American based, right?Mentioned in a earlier thread the Mechi at Specialized JHB rode one at their training conference , he does NOT LIKE E-BIKES and he said it was the best MTB he’s every riden , Center of gravity response from the motor usability as far as all the components together are second to none and he rides all the completion bikes to understand how they ride and the advantage of buying a SPesh over a Santa Cruz etc etc
Everything you said is 100% .. if it was a haibike ..I swear some of you guys don’t actually ride?!

Saffer, but the percentage remains the same...American based, right?
So a 95% chance he hasn't ridden the Chinese wonder kid?
My friend Drummond has had a trek rail for 2 years. I just noticed last week it's got a side loading battery . It's a lovely shade of red though it really isI swear some of you guys don’t actually ride?!

Probably get sacked if he said it was cack.Mentioned in a earlier thread the Mechi at Specialized JHB rode one at their training conference , he does NOT LIKE E-BIKES and he said it was the best MTB he’s every riden , Center of gravity response from the motor usability as far as all the components together are second to none and he rides all the completion bikes to understand how they ride and the advantage of buying a SPesh over a Santa Cruz etc etc
Perhaps Disney has purchased shares in Spez without us knowingSo they will even offer multiple pink colors??
What a time to be alive ...

Dynamically, it's pretty similar. Presumably the COG must work out to be in virtual the same place with the motor canted flat but the battery beginning slightly higher up.it rides exactly like the current model does....
it rides exactly like the current model does....
If a Dentist rides an S-Works through a forest and no ones around to actually see it ... does it really happen ?I thought all S-Works models ended up wall mounted in dentists waiting rooms?
You mean they get ridden?!![]()
Why do you say that?So the gen4 is specced with the "old" butcher tires?
Perhaps they are assuming because spec sheet says 2.3 width. New Butchers are 2.4 (also 2.6). Old ones were 2.35.Why do you say that?
The Spec sheet shows it comes with the new Butcher TLR tyres.
Does a pic somewhere show the old Butchers?
All the pics in the previous pages show the old Butcher indeedWhy do you say that?
