I went with Crestline mainly because I could get it as a frame only, I have enough spare parts to build a few bikes at this point.Crestline also known as an over priced Santa Cruz bullet. Fun fact, you know why Santa Cruz went to a FRS suspension design on the vala? Because the drive units size make it impossible to put the lower link low enough to prevent brake jack in a VPP design. Knowing this makes you wonder why so many riders cream their baggies for the VPP design on the Crestline. Look at a Bronson or Megatower lower link location, on an e bike, that pivot in inside the drive unit. When all is said and done, there are really only three suspension designs that work for e bikes, FRS , DW links and high pivots with an idler.
Needs to see a picture of the Crestline, not that I dislike my G3 but Crestline dream bikeI went with Crestline mainly because I could get it as a frame only, I have enough spare parts to build a few bikes at this point.
Price wise, it was cheaper than any of the other frame only options.
I think I'd just prefer a small 400wh internal battery option for that purpose.I think the biggest selling point I heard about was a range extender that you could use instead of the main battery or with the battery. So you can either have a long distance bike or a lightweight bike.
It’s being shipped to my dad’s house in the US, I won’t be back to visit until the end of May. I’ll probably be there for about a month so it’s going to be a while before I get it built up.Needs to see a picture of the Crestline, not that I dislike my G3 but Crestline dream bike
This is what I’m looking at doing with my new bike, 400wh internal with a 250wh extender. It was offered as an option but I ordered it without a battery as I’ll be flying with it back to the UK.I think I'd just prefer a small 400wh internal battery option for that purpose.
Overpriced ? Their kits are actually inline with most bikes in the market ,even more so if you consider they are such a small brand.
They offer Bosch gen 5 with all battery options (removable),top tube screen, high quality frame, good suspension design, modular frame with many travel options and 29 or Mullet ...
If anything,SC should have made a Crestline and not the other way around
The Valla (And soon to be released Bullit) is a good bike but OH so boring...
I like small boutique brands just as much as the next guy but with only 150 units I'd be worried about parts availability when shit breaks or if there a common failure point with the frames. Also the motor bulge on the Crestline is worse than the Levo and the down tube looks massive. I hope the new Levo looks more like the SL, no motor bulge or ugly shock stay. Santa Cruz knocked it out of the park with Vala, it's easily the best looking EMTB out right now.

I am thinking of getting this bike but worried I can’t get range of my Bosch mondraker 750. My mondraker can do 35 to 40 miles in turbo. Can amflow do same range. Most of mileages I have seen on Facebook show people doing not much mileage above 20 miles. I have my Bosch on max power 85 nm and get huge Mileages.500 Miles on the Amflow now, I agree the current S Works Levo is a better bike on the down hill bits and its more agile. The DJI Motor though is from another place TQ and power wise, very smooth power across the range.

At the end of the day if you want to do a longer ride on the Amflow you need to use a lower mode just like every other bike. The EMTB mode on Bosch is still far and away the best for just set it and forget it. From reports I've seen if you have range anxiety the Amflow may not be for you, have also read with the motor off there is a ton of drag pedaling. The Amflow won't really be that special once the new Levo is out and Bosch comes out with their new screen and software.I am thinking of getting this bike but worried I can’t get range of my Bosch mondraker 750. Yes. But I am using turbo on my Bosch and emtb getting nearly 40 miles. I think you'd be better to ask in the amflow section rather than posting about a Bosch v DJI question in the specialized levo thread of the forumYes. But I am using turbo on my Bosch and emtb getting nearly 40 miles. Is efficiency of motor in amflow as good as Bosch
This is the bla bla bla thread ... so .........Yes. But I am using turbo on my Bosch and emtb getting nearly 40 miles. Is efficiency of motor in amflow as good as Bosch
