i picked mine up Sat after a 5 hour round trip and its possibly broken in the first 2 miles of riding , just around the local park. for what little riding have done the bike felt really powerful even in trail mode.

The issue is the Motor is making a squeaking noise and is difficult to turn as though its rubbing on seals, looks like i will be returning the unit but nothing from the LBS so far after sending the videos to them of the issue.

You better get back on that 5 hour round trip again this is what is putting me off buying one no one near me is selling them plus no small frame sizes

Oh no thats not good, hopefully will get sorted quickly. Mine arrived on saturday and had a great shakedown ride on Sunday on local trails. Loved the way it rode, coming from an Orbea Rise had a similar handling feel. The Power though is just immense, I will definitely dial down in the settings soon.

Hope you get yours sorted. Its the first failure I have heard of so far

Almost everything is made in China nowadays or overseas but that doesn't matter that much as long as customer support is equal to western world standard. DJI tick these boxes with drones but can they hold the flag for their ebike motors? We shall see aas this is sustained alot by the PRC.

If you didn't see it look around in your house and you'll probably see most parts of your stuff is made in....😉
Not really, my washer and dryer are old Leandra Matt units that can be maintained (15+) years old, USA, the microwave is a 20 year old unit made in the USA, the fridge is made in Mexico as well as the stove and the water heater. I find it cheaper to buy and maintain quality items rather than buy and replace cheap crap. Anything made in mainland China is made by slave labor. Slave labor is not known for its quality.

Maybe dont browse an Amflow Forum if you are that negative towards the bike. Many have purchased and will be coming here to share ideas/problems & tips. You may be right, the quality may end up being crap, but then again it may not. My first ebike had 5 Motor failures within the 1st year and that wasn’t made in China ( Bosch).

If you killed 5 Bosch units in one year, the problem might be you. Back in the 70’s when I raced bmx there were kids that took pride in braking any and all frames just to prove it could be done. Is That how you are riding e bike or are you storing you it in the bottom of a pond?

Slight typo, was 5 Motors in 5 years, with Bosch a new warranty started with each new one, The final Motor has lasted 4 years and is still going strong. Not stored in a Pond but ridden in wet Uk weather. first 2 developed play in bearings, 2nd 2 had water ingress. No the problem isn’t me, have owned others ( Yamaha PWx2 & Shimano ep8) and had no similar problems

Indeed and agree with you. Bosch failed after 800 miles, washed & rinsed by hand weekly, dried, polished, cover removed and excess dirt removed every 2 weeks with mini hoover and stored in my warm, dry 3rd bedroom every night. I ride in eco/tour, follow all recommended seal servicing and battery maintenance etc etc - it happens right, no matter how careful we are.
