So, then I dont know, how others understand this sentence: "But honestly, I also changed the display on the 245 and with that display I have different level settings compared to the 241."
As I said before, that's what it means.
"With 241 I used 9 levels, and most of the time I only used 2-3. On difficult sections up 4-5 rarely
I used 1-2 on flat terrain, and now I see that the ECO (on 245) is too powerful for me. Maybe the excessive battery consumption compared to the 241 has something to do with it"
245 is only 5 Pass mode.
Thnx Cap!

Yup the 9 levels setup on the 241 has a very slightly lower level 1 max watts than the same 241 set to 5 levels, level 1. I've never bothered to measure it but it is noticiable just.

As soon as you have a slightly higher max watts between the two settings, then you will notice that you are using more battery consumption but probably not notice that your average speed will be slightly higher. That extra energy being used, has to go somewhere.

You really must be a bit more scientific about battery consumption and do a few basic detective actions like for example read the max watts on your display on say a road section in the levels you are concerned with, with each display. If you have a BT version then record the Bafang Go App on your phone, the info is there for you to see. I think Iphone has a built in App for just this sort of thing.

Hi guys. Does anyone have that sound with the M510 when you rock the chain left and right (in reality the chainring is moving at a slight angle forward and backward). This is what I hear when going down rocky terrain. There are no sounds when climbing, with the paddles spinning.

Mmmm not sure then, my M600 on an E10 is as quite as a mouse downhill with the only really annoying noise being the Hope free hub.

Perhaps you have your chain too long and getting old fashioned chain slap ?

Mate. Sound is coming from the motor. This is no chain issue.

So here’s the latest 36V firmware from Chili.

@Dado: Could You please do me the favor to check if this suits my M510 FC1 Rev. „I“?
is this fw suitable for my engine?

With version 80201.1 you can connect to Go App. But still not supporting power adjustments.

Check this:

Just yesterday did add M620 firmware flash support (so would work also with M300 and M420). Will complete it this week.

So Dado, only way to edit parameters is though Besst or K1?

My M510 is on my way, but I don't know yet what hardware version I will get.

BTW: this is what Fieldebikes told me when I asked whether the 245 I was getting was BT5.1 so it could connect to the Bafang Go+ app
"DPC245 Bluetooth display can work with bafang go ,not bafang Go+
Their website has some errors. bafang Go + serves the IOT system and also has Bluetooth. If the two Bluetooth signals are used together, there will be interference."

That is true. App Go still can not set power parameters. :( And also wont be never able to unlock speed limit.

This version can connect to Bafang Go+ app. Info from Frey M510 user.

Hello everyone. here is my review of the m510 after a few rides. I had a little problem with the speed sensor, actually the magnet. since I use a sensor and a magnet on the brake rotor, the magnet was too close to the sensor. so it occasionally showed strange speeds of 40, 60 km/h, and I was driving 3-15 km/h. I increased the distance yesterday and everything is great. even the engine runs better. @KaroKönig once wrote about adjusting the sensor on the rotor. now the m510 is a real beast for driving and climbing. finally the right engine from Bafang for emtb and trail rides.

Hello. one question. is it still possible to load 48v firmware into a 36v motor? I intend to change the battery. well known bafang battery percentage.

Fico, that is possible. Not pissible to flash 43V into 36/48V motors.

Not sure why they did it. Maybe a precaution not to flash 43V and use 48V batt. I would guess 43V firmware would now refuse start with 48V batt. Which is making me sad. :) That was simple trick to get more power from motors.

Does anyone know if the newer FC2.0 controller version of the M510 48V will work with a 52V battery? My FC1.0 works without any problems with a 52V battery, but I'm still not happy with the 'on-off' feel of the power delivery, which the FC2.0 reportedly has solved.
Also is there a 52V firmware for the FC2.0 that would show the correct battery % on the display like the FC1.0 firmware version I'm currently using ref:- CRX10NC4814i101003.2-28-2230-boot3.0-20220523131321.bin

If you will find 52V firmware for FC2.0 let us know. :)) If you have a good dealer they could get from bafang also reconfigured firmware for 52V.

DPC245 is gorgeous, it´s the color display that BAFANG was missing, awesome design, very clean and slick, sits flush to my handlebar like a dream.

On the flip side, it seems that Bluetooth on DPC245 is useless, I was able to connect to Bafang GO +, however it doesn´t do much, maybe I’m seeing this wrong? Maybe and possibly an opportunity for someone to create an interface? wishful thinking maybe.

Cheers
