Bullit failed on me today? about 15 miles into a ride in the Peaks & the bike beeped assist cut out then i got the dreaded E010 error code?
Tried battery out then back in, then pedalling backwards for 20 seconds ? no joy.
Pedalled for a few miles with no motor which was fun? then tried it again & it came back on so pedalled steady in eco but it only lasted 200 yards.
Rode 10 miles back to car with no motor still no joy.
Got home cleaned bike, removed motor guards & covers gave it a good dry with compressor. Then updated motor firmware through E tube app went for a 10 minute test ride & it seems ok ??
Will give it a proper test ride in week to see how it hoes.

Few more upgrades for my Bullit. 2022 Fox Factory 38s, Factory Transfer post and a Factory DHX2 with SLS spring.

Also fitted new XTR brakes, a Burgtec MK3 stem and MK5 pedals and Santa Cruz Di2 bars. Just waiting for XTR gears to come back into stock then I think i’m done!

Steve Peat's Bullit at Maribor. I kind of start to wish that Bullit came with Fox DHX2 from factory to match the Fox 38. Also, I think Fox SLS spring would be quite a bit lighter than the one that comes with Super Deluxe Coil.

Reading online, people with similar issue it ends up being terminal and new motor under warranty. Code was E01020 which is torque sensor apparently & cannot be repaired
Sad to say I joined the club at Llandegla today on my Bullit…. E010 and no motor. Switching off, removing battery, switching back on without battery until electric dribbles away and it switches off and then replacing battery trail-side made no difference. Back at hub, switched on for a few minutes and worked then repeat E010 and nothing.

Going to get it cleaned up much as you did yours Rich and try again tomorrow. Will also feed back after that. Expecting warranty claim for new motor.

Any news with yours?

Went to Wharny today to give mine a test ride & another disaster ? got 500 yards out of the car park went to pedal & crunch, mech has destroyed itself snapping the body. No rocks or branches to hit it just flat fire road, didn’t change gear so god knows what caused it. Never seen a mech fail like that.

Sorry to hear about your motor problem, haven’t had mine back into shop yet was going to see how it went today. Will put the Sram mech back on that came with the bike and try again.

I wish I could say it was full send but unfortunately just on the bends at the top of the first climb, just before rollercoaster.
Lost the front and went down hard, it was pissing down and I’m still not sure what happened.

Well after a no bike drama morning at Wharncliffe(apart from a otb episode, my fault not the bike) the Bullit performed faultlessly, the firmware update must have done the trick.

That’s exactly what’s happened today with mine. Went to the Pines to tow the lad who’s getting fit again on his old stumpy expecting a E010 repeat —> to ride analogue myself, but all was fine ? All I did was blow out the battery connections with contact cleaner and update the firmware… All good news! Next: catch up on Maribor ?

The notes on recent update refer to internal parts... no actual mention of what and how but it seems to be fixing a lot of issues with ep8 ?

Yup, I agree, I have no idea exactly what‘s up and of course I understand about the update and @Richwall will too — it’s why I didn’t do it when it came out… It can be useful tho’ for others who end up in this boat being able to read others’ stories with maximum detail.
Whatever, I am relieved ?

Has anyone tried the Megneg can on their Super Deluxe rear shock? I'd like a bit more mid stroke support.
Thanks,
Art
Someone on the Facebook group "Santa Cruz Owners..." asked the same question, said it was miles better in the mid and early stroke support. But each persons butt shock varies on their thickness :)

hey guys !
stoked new Bullit owner here !
after riding my local trials etc I find I could do with the forks being a little plusher if I’m honest , set the sat stood up in attack position at 51mm (30% of 170) and I’ve got a fair bit of travel left…. What’s the best setting for a plush feel and to use more travel ? Anyone tried playing with the tokens ?
Any help would be mega ⚡

If you set the sag correctly and have that much unused travel try removing all of your tokens.

I'd remove both tokens and aim for no more than 25% sag. At 30%, you're going to be sat in mid travel and it will feel worse .

Yes, couldn't agree more on the Bullit. Having said that, sometimes more generically, is your (@Motohawk75 ) weight sometimes a little behind where it should be as you ‘weight’ the fork in all the ways that happens? If so, are you at the same time finding you’re using nearly all the air can travel when you have air can sag set at 20-25%? I found this was an indication I wasn’t always keeping central in the Bullit when I thought I was. Fixing that not only improved my riding balance and pace, but also decreased what you’re finding. Still, either way, take a token (and then the second) out of the fork ?
