I opted for the 2022 Whyte e150 RS in XL. I’m 6’5” and skinny. Had it about 6 months or so now. It’s all stock at the moment.
it feels pretty good, but then I don’t have much (any!) of a yardstick to compare it to. You just don’t see many XL bikes in stock to test. Or at least I didn’t when I...
If you find any, let me know. I'm skinny and 6'5" so ideally want a 35-36" inside leg. No luck so far.
I've ordered a pair of Revolution Race trousers which will hopefully be here next week. My mate had a pair and I tried them on. They need a belt, but length wasn't too bad.
My bike is a 2022 Whyte e150RS. XL. Reach is just over 500mm according to the specs. I've got my saddle pushed as far back on the rails as I'd like to go, but I only have the stock stem which is pretty short at 35mm. Shock/Fork setup was done for me at the shop and still seems ok as far as sag...
I've never had particularly good balance. Being 6'5" might explain a bit of this I guess, but I am wondering how to improve.
The places I struggle are along trails where I am in a narrow rut. Anything narrower than around 7 or 8" wide and I just struggle to keep balanced and straight. So often...
But you like to wax it? That's 'a bit' like having an ornament ;-)
I just try and look after my stuff, that's all. Same with my car - I have a car to ride and use, but I try not to ding it etc.
Really enjoying my e150RS, but boy, does it collect mud. How are you owners finding it around the rear linkages and back of the motor housing? I find it quite difficult to clean around there.
(I've also found my invisiframe is peeling off around the rear tyre/chain stay areas, which is annoying...
I have a DJI Mavic2 Pro with a few batteries. They have some 'intelligence' in them apparently that auto discharges them after a few days of inactivity. I'm not sure what type of batteries they are.
When I am planning on doing a drone shoot, I'll typically fully charge the night before.
On my...
My bike cost me a significant sum, so I need to look after it. My intention is to basically clean/lube it etc after every ride (so basically every Sunday afternoon). I actually enjoy the process...to a point.
My old hardtail was pretty easy to clean, but my FS ebike with it's linkages and motor...
I've been looking for a good quality front light over the last few weeks, and recently came across this deal. I've ordered and have just received it. Seems very good quality. RRP is £295 but they are on sale at £129.99. So bright I can even see our neighbours through the party wall...
Half way around a South Downs loop. Loving this bike.
(Not loving the mud you get in the South Downs! It's horrible stuff to get off. Had to disassemble my rear mech when I got home as the jockey wheels were barely turning!)
My two mates have bailed on me this weekend. We were supposed to be camping one night and going for a ride on Saturday. So now I am on my own.
Can anyone suggest a route - say 30km or so - with a campsite reasonably near the base - within maybe 2.5hrs drive of Oxford?
Rather a niche question ;-)
I have the 2022 Whyte 150RS and the cable looks nothing like the picture posted. There is one cable that protrudes a small amount, but it is higher than the chainring, so doubt it will be an issue.
I’m not particularly interested in software adjustments of power settings etc either. Seems a lot of faff for something that I can’t imagine ever feeling when I’m (badly) cycling from a-b on rough terrain. A lot of people love to tweak that kind of stuff though.
