I've heard a lot about vibrations breaking cameras on smartphones, but the 'Motorcycle - Vibration Dampener' is really just for big motorbikes, right? It looks like it would be too bulk for an eMTB. A pity, as I'd love a way to use my iPhone 12 Max with the GB & Parks app that I use when walking...
If anyone is looking for a 2022 e160S in XL, I've just cancelled my order on Leisure Lakes so keep your eye on their site or give them a call if you were interested.
What have you decided upon BFG? I'm an inch shorter than you and trying to decide which bike might work. If I could go to a shop and try them all, that'd be great. But no stock means that's impossible.
There's an XL Pro 1 at a bike store around 2 hours drive for me. I may take a trip down this weekend and swing my leg over.
I do have a deposit on an XL Whyte E160 S v2, but I'd be unable to check that out for size before it arrives at my house.
How do you think it will compare to the Whyte...
I should add I am no ‘pro’ rider. A weekly xc ride and occasional longer day rides with my mates. But with such an investment I will hopefully do more!
I’m 6’5”. I have no opportunity to try the bikes before buying.
The Saracen would likely be the top line ‘elite’ model, though the pro is also available in XL. It obviously has better spec and has the longer reach. It has a shimano motor rather than the Whyte’s bosch. In ‘elite’ it is also...
I've just happened upon the Saracen Ariel bikes. The reason I'm interested is that they seem BIG, and at 6'5" I want something with a big reach: this is 525mm in XL.
Any thoughts?
I do t have a tow bar and I’m unlikely to fit one as it’s a lease car. I have roof bars so it could theoretically go on the roof, but to be honest, I’m more likely to remove both wheels and stick it in the boot. (Assuming it will fit! My XL Orange Crush hard tail does with ease so I can’t...
Yep. It’s frustrating. Analogue bikes, as long as they hit a certain basic standard, like having disk brake capability, could theoretically run for ever as long as you don’t crack the frame.
for the batteries that go into these eMTBs: are they going to be available in 5 years time? Battery...
I tend to hold onto my bikes for a long time, and tend only to change them if they get stolen!
In My other thread I talk about being on the fence with an eMTB (though I have now put down a reserve deposit!) having never had one before.
i guess one big concern - beyond the financial outlay of...
I'm on the verge of buying an eMTB. I've had hardtails and FS bikes over the years, and TBH, my use of them has dropped quite markedly of late. Busy life. Tired at the weekends. Laziness etc.
I've had (yet another) bike stolen from my home (despite locks/cctv/coverings etc) but I still have my...
