Given the cheap components it seems like buying a lower spec SL and upgrading is the best route. The brakes and fork are a joke. Even the s works has a flimsy 34 and underwhelming shock.
When I got the bike back from the dealer after the first ride I went to turn it off and it turned back on. I wonder if this is to give you a heads up something isn’t right? It still does this when I turn it off. It takes 2 tries for it to turn off.
Thanks. It looks like 1-22 and 2-24 so I should have the updates parts. The app also let me know my battery pack is broken so that’s awesome ??♂️ It still works. Thoughts?
I'm hoping my new motor has the updated sprag bearing. Otherwise I will be back to the dealer in another 500 miles. I believe motors manufactured starting in January have the updated part. I'm going to take off the cover to see if I can find a date stamp of any kind. The new motor is somehow...
Can you comment in more detail on the sprag bearing. How it works, what it looks like when it grenades, how it fails. My bike would not roll backwards. Does this sounds like a sprag bearing failure? I don't believe specialized has updated the sprag bearing?
It's been a week since my belt broke. Called the dealer to check up and they haven't done a damn thing. Bunch of excuses and told me they would call specialized to see what they could do. What a pos dealer. Time to find a new one apparently.
My ‘19 let loose at 480 miles which seems to be a common number based off the Facebook group levo & kenevo. My ‘18 has 2,000 miles on it without issue. Pretty bummed I’m most likely looking at 2-3 weeks for a replacement motor. Hopefully the new motor has the new belt.
What part of Colorado are you in? I just popped my first motor after 479 miles. I’ve kept it out of the slop. Pretty sure the belt or gears stripped out or broke. Not an electrical issue.
Pretty disappointing Specialized would sell such crap. The more I read motors are failing right and left. Dealer doesn't seem to have a clue what to do. First they have heard of any issues. It will probably be weeks until I can get a new motor with the covid delays. Hopefully the new shimano...
Update : Blew my first motor on my ‘19 tonight. It started cutting out then completely let loose complete with high pitched squeeling. Probably the belt. Crap
I’ve always wondered if wetter climates play a factor. I live in a dry climate and haven’t had an issue. 2 2018 Levos one with 1200 on one and 1800 miles on the other with no issues. 2019 with 350 miles trouble free. Maybe I am over due for problems ??♂️
