If you need to change the stem length you bought the wrong size frame. The stem length and slackness are tied together. If you shorted the stem you speed up the steering. Lengthen it and you slow down the steering. The reason the '19 levo has a shorter stem vs the '18 is the frame is designed...
The BB was way too high on the 18's with 29s. Great for pedal strikes but cornering suffered for sure. I like the plus tires at first but I didn't have good front end feel at all. You'd think a fatter tire would give you more bite in corners but the 2.6 29s have a lot more grip. It could be the...
I’d be curious to try a 19-20 levo with 27.5 tires. My 19 feels super nimble vs the 18 with 29s on it. Quick switchbacks is where I noticed it the most.
I am in the market for pants and decided on the demo pants but came to find out they are all sold out in the US at the moment. I just need pants for 40-50 degrees F and don't plan on riding in the snow/rain. The nukeproof may fit the bill it seems.
It appears this shock would fit? You would probably need to order a stumpjumper specific bolt kit?

Curious on this also. I found a deal on a new take off a s works Dps to upgrade the rock shox that came on the expert. The dpx2 sounds like it’s supposed to be a good bit better. Considering reselling it to fund dpx2. Seems odd s works doesn’t come with dpx2.
Great info. I suspect the motor size/weight will come down fairly quickly but the battery weight reduction is a ways out. Just a guess, no actual sources.
I know I'm late to the game but I thought I would do a quick write up for those considering the upgrade after my first 10 mile ride around my normal loop in Colorado. I am coming off a heavily modified 2018 Levo comp to a '19 expert. Fox 36 and spank wheels were carried over so I can't comment...
It’s bazaar. Screw all those analogers that have a problem with e bikes. They’re acting like the Amish in 1900 drawing a line in the sand of progression.
Thanks. Ideally I would run low and get shorter cranks to avoid pedal strikes. Lots of rocks in Colorado. I put 29's on my '18 and it raised the bottom bracket a ton. Pedal strikes went away but it didn't corner that well because of the high bottom bracket.
Hey guys, I’ve read conflicting statements on the flip chip. Some say the flip chip should be set to low for 29s and high for 27.5. My Levo came with it on what appears to be the high setting. Any feedback is appreciated!
My dealer confirmed all the stated specs mentioned today. I almost asked him to sketch a picture of it on paper lol
I went ahead and ordered a '19 expert at 20% discount. I've got a fox 36 to bolt on so the updated fork on the '20 didn't matter to me. Plus I love the black/green color combo...
