Curious what tire you have on the rear and how the clearance is 2.5"? I'm not able to get a 2.6" minion to fit. A 2.6" butcher fits but it's much lower than the front Minion so it's throwing off my geometry.
What tire are you running in the back? A 2.6 maxxis won't fit on my 18 carbon comp. The wife has an aluminum comp and they fit just fine! Turns out the carbon comp rear triangle has a good half inch less clearance.
It's pretty annoying when it cuts out. I don't regret hacking my '18. In fact my wife demanded I hack hers also. Plus the walk mode works a lot better since it spins the rear wheel about the double the speed.
I test rode a '19 here in Colorado at a dealer and it was much much louder than my '18. Not terrible but would rather not have the added noise. The 18 is near silent unless really pushed hard up a hill.
Trek is still a little bit behind but they do have a carbon e bike with 150/160 travel for 6k USD. Trek dealers usually offer discounts. The spec dealers here are about as tight as a drum. Fork isn't great, just a yari. I believe higher end builds are offered in europe. Integration isn't perfect...
By switching to the mm 2.6 are you losing overall diameter and lowering the bike? I'd like to try a thinner tire but with rocks poking up all over Colorado I don't want to get more pedal strikes than I already do.
From what I understand the battery is loaded in the down tube from the top, so opposite of the current system? It wasn't visible in the leaked photos. I wonder if the top of the battery will be painted to match.
Holy crap. So a new expert will run me 9k in the states. Spec are out to lunch with these prices. I'm going to keep my carbon comp until they are sub 40lbs in 2-3 years.
What's up with the hump back frames from Haibike? They seems like nice enough bikes but they're always so ugly that I can't bring myself to consider one.
Reading between the lines it seems only the expert and s works will be updated and the price will be increased. I would still wait until the news drops to make a decision. It should be pretty quick. The full suspension levos have been taken down from websites in multiple countries so I would...
I'm late to the game and missed the pics. All new frame like '19 stumpy? Maybe it's an all new model more enduro ish. 160 front and back. Kenevo is a little too heavy but something in between should be nice!
Yes still the stock 135, I've upgraded to a fox factory take off from a stumpjumper. I didn't get along with the monarch all that well. The 30 mill the dual position makes is significant on climbs. The front goes from wandering and light to weighted with good traction.
Very easily if you have any mechanical ability. Go for the s works. I've read they had reliability issues with the ohlins so they switched during '18 production cycle
Agreed a carbon 160mm version is the ticket. Or how about this. Put a lyrik dual position on the current kenevo. I have the dual on my levo which slacks it out and helps a lot on downhills but when I switch it to the lower position it goes down 30mm and it climbs better than stock. It's pretty...
