Since your replacing your chainring you should consider going to a 34T chainring. I have two Giant EMTB's and for some reason Giant puts 36T chainrings on them when almost all other manufactures put 34T chainrings. Any 104BCD chainring will fit the bike.

I agree the batteries are so cheap just buy new ones and buy a few extra to have on hand. I always keep an fully charged extra battery in my backpack. I don't worry about checking the battery every single time I go out that way. I also keep an extra CR2032 battery too.

I have two Giant bikes. 2021 Stance E+ 1 and a 2024 Trance X Advanced E 2. Love them both and never an issue with either of them. I wouldn't be surprised if that demo bike was a return that had issues that they just kept as a demo. Buying a used EBike (even a Demo) is like buying a used car...

Hate or no hate, they are the only manufacture with an adaptive E-Mtb for people with disabilities (at least that I know of). Check out their new 2025 AD3 bike: Phase AD3 Factory | Orange Bikes. Very costly at $20k, but interesting design for those with disabilities that want to Mt bike ride.

I ride in Nor Cal too (East Bay - Del Valle mostly, but many of the east bay parks) and I run Assegai front and DHR2 back year round. I do avoid riding right after a rain but they are great tires for the area year round in my opinion.

Dropper seats can handle way more weight/torque/etc.... than you will ever put on them doing work. Think about how much twisting, left/right/forward/backward pressures are applied to the the extended seat post when fully extended when a 200+lb person is sitting on it and ridding with no issues...

All of that said, if you like your Maxxis tires, just order new ones on Amazon. Have your LBS mount them for you or just do it yourself. It is really easy to do, even tubeless. Or ask the LBS to order you Maxxis tires.
