I am still thinking about going to the ridecontrol EVO or ridecontrol Dash. Been doing a bit a research. To go from the Ergo 3/Ridecontrol Go to the Ego, Ergo 2, Dash or Evo you need the Y-connector to connect them to the Ridecontrol Go. Attached is a wiring diagram. Someone asked about how...
I have had a Stance EMBT and now a Trance X Advanced and in both cases I went from 36t to 34t. Most EMTB companies put a 34t on their bikes. I don't know why Giant puts a 36t on their bikes. There was little noticeable difference in high end speed (How often are you peddling that fast on a...
I would be concerned that they had a battery warranty issue on another bike over the past few years and swapped out the battery from this bike with another customers bike. The bike may be "New" but the battery may not. The alignment doesn't look bad, my Stance EMTB looks similar, it is just...
I had the Ridecontrol Ergo on my Stance and it worked really well. My new trance has the egro 3 and it is horrible. There is little to no tactile feedback that you actually pushed the button and half the time it does not register that you pushed the button. It is very difficult to push the...
I have had a stance emtb for 3 years and have loved every minute of it. I just bought a Trance advanced emtb and love it even more. The main things I wanted from the trance were: more travel on the shocks (120mm vs 150mm. Looks like the newer Stance has 140mm), more powerful motor (65nm vs...
I have the same issue in the spring. I use soccer shin guards (). They are cheap and work well and not overly hot or cumbersome. I just replace them when they get torn up. For some reason I can't post the amazon link. Search on amazon for "HiRui Soccer Shin Guards Shin Pads for Kids Youth Adult"
I have had a stance for 3+ years and loved it. You will like it a lot. I just recently upgraded to a Trance X Advanced and really like it too. I upgraded to get more travel on the shocks and it is a little be longer bike and carbon fiber.
You should consider upgrading the drive train (on...
Yea I remember my Stance updated often the first year I had it. Now it is 1 or maybe 2 times a year. I am assuming the new Trance's will get better over time too.
For Strava, look in settings for "Beacon". Set it up. For example I set it up for wife's phone number (They don't have to be a...
I have had a giant Stance EMTB for the past 3.5 years. I have loved it and had zero issues with it. I just bought a new Trance Advanced E+. The Stance I have has a 625 watt battery and 60Nm Yamaha motor. I have not had any issues with the motor or battery. I ride 2-4 times a week almost year...
Great bike, I have had a Giant Stance EMTB (60Nm motor, 625 watt battery) for 3+ years and just last month bought a Trance Advanced E+ with 85Nm motor and 800 watt battery. I love the color of the one you got and was tore between getting it or the carbon frame that I got. They are both great...
Out with the old (2021 Stance EMTB)
In with the new Trance X Advanced (Carbon Fiber frame, upgraded SRAM GX T-type transmission). First ride today on the new bike. The SRAM transmission is incredible, smooth and quiet shifting even under load (I tested it out :) ).
The SRAM transmission requires the whole drive train be replaced. It works as a set together (chainring cassette chain derailer). You need the chain that comes with it as it is flat on top.
Don't want to start a motor war on this thread, but I have had a Giant Stance for the past 4 years with a Yamaha motor and have had zero issues with it. Giant (at least in the US) is having a huge sale right now and I just pulled the trigger on a Trance X Advanced E+ 2. Carbon frame, 800 watt...
It is a Giant Accessory on a Giant Bike. Just take it to a Giant bike shop and tell them to make it work. As another poster said, there is probably some sync thing they need to do.
I mostly ride Del Valle (As I live withing biking distance to Del Valle) in Livermore, but have ridden Pleasanton Ridge and several other East Bay Regional Parks many times "illegally" on my emtb. I was also happy to hear that EBRP finally came to their senses and adopted a reasonable emtb...
Look at Wiley X (Wiley X Sunglasses and Safety Glasses - USA Online Store), they have sunglasses with replaceable lenses. Dark and light and I believe even clear.
I ride with progressive (I believe this is the same a what you call varifocal?) Maui Jim sunglass with no issue. I like them better than my Ray Bans (Which I loved) because they wrap around a bit more and provide more wind protection.
However, I also play racquetball and use only high impact...
I have a 2021 Stance E1 and my neighbor as the 2021 E2. I would tell you to go to the E1 over the E2. You get 12 speeds instead of 10 speeds. You get a dropper post (though the newer E2's may have a dropper post, I have not looked). And you get a bigger battery. By the way, neither of us...
