I wouldn't worry about manuals. There is an online manual for every nut, bolt and part on your bike. When I picked my bike up all I cared about was that it turned on, I had the charger and the serial number on the receipt. Went straight to the trails from the bike shop to enjoy it. You...
Hi Bob, I was in your position 4 years ago. I was 55 too. And in addition, I was over weight and wanted to start bike riding to get in shape/loss weight. I don't like riding on roads with cars and wanted to do Mt biking. I got a cheap MTB and started riding. I quickly found that I couldn't...
I went from riding 45 minutes to an hour on a MTB to 2-3 hour rides on an eMTB. That is 1-2 hours more aerobic exercise per ride. Also went from 1-2 rides a week to 3-4 rides a week. And as other have said, I am able to do much steeper and more fun rides. I am 59 yr old and have lost over...
I wear Under Armor Coldgear. Either base layer and any Dry Fit T-Shirt or 1/4 zip fleece top with any dry fit T-Shirt depending on temperature. Not waterproof, but gives good wind protection (1/4 zip) and warmth but also good moisture wicking and the 1/4 zip allows some air flow if you get too...
Here is the full list of closures of east bay parks and trails due to the storm damage. Del Valle is my go to riding spot as I live a short 2 mile bike ride from the park.

So am I missing something? On the US site, they are selling the 800W battery covers (Types A, B and C) for $56. But they are not selling the 800w batteries?
Great article on the SFGate new website on why California's rattlesnake population is booming. Basically, they like climate change. The warmer the better. You need to disable any ad blockers to read the article...
The comparison I did was same bike (though different gear ratios)/same motor. My point was my friend is more fit and uses less power. I am less fit, heavier and use more power. And we get back with similar levels. So, someone trying to decide between the two would get more millage out of the...
The issue isn't the update, it works fairly well. The issue is one of if you are out on a trip and you have cell service but no internet your app on your phone gets updated (or app got updated while at home, but you leave first thing in the morning), but you can't update the bike without...
I use Maxxis Minion DHR II 29x2.4 tubeless tires front and back. But in Ca. we mostly have no trees or evergreen trees (so no leaves) and it rarely rains. I ride on very hard, very dry dirt 90% of the year. The bike has 25mm rim's. I am not an expert on how big a tire you can run on those rims.
I have a 2021 Stance E1. 12 speed/625watt battery vs the E2 which is a 10speed/500watt battery. My neighbor has the E2. We ride a lot together and even though he is more fit than me and uses lower power setting than me in general on our rides, I consistently come back with very similar...
purpleair is nice, but check out Fire and Smoke Map. It shows all the purpleair sensors (Which are private low cost sensor anyone can buy and install) as squares plus the official government sensors (Round) plus the smoke plumes in the air and the location of current/active fires burning. You...
All this is very interesting, but I just wanted to let the original poster know that I have a Stance E+1 and yes if you turn the motor off there is a a moderate amount of resistance pedaling. For whatever reason, weight, motor, clutch, etc.... you are not imagining it.
US Freight costs are going up and up too. We are in agriculture and ship product on boats, airplanes and trucks. All are going up, but particularly the truck freight. Just as an example, pre covid we paid approximately $6,000 for a truck from Ca. to NY. Today that same truck is $10k-$12k.
Well mine isn't 100% vertical. It is about 20 degrees from vertical so I can still see the LED's. I don't have much issue seeing them. Just play around with it and get it to a place you can see the LED's, but it is more protected. Another solution is just don't fall :)
