Hi I think I can chime in here.
I am 178cm I had a L A70. It was 26kg ready to ride for me. Dh tyres cushcore xc +pro. I lean towards it being a battleship to be fair. But you get away with pretty rowdy descents. Other bikes are more poppy.
You could look into shocks with extended eyes to...
Another option is to get the Rocky and get an mx link (if it's a carbon one) and run it mullet. The dyname is a great motor if you're prepared to spin those legs as you'd well know.
I've had motor disconnects before. It was the result of a bent latch and damage to the plastic surround one of the battery terminals.
I just straightened it and cut the bit of plastic out (carefully!) hasn't done it since.
Was your battery latch ever really hard to close?
I have a swb t6. Yep they're pretty tight for space.
I use a Yakima highroad rack inside it and just load into that.
I made a very elaborate system to hold 2 bikes using Rocky mounts which would fit bikes as narrow as possible, but it's pokey af.
If you're ever in Queenstown you can take mine for a spin and see for yourself how good they are.
It's so good I got another one (albeit without a motor 😉).
It's just Zeb things @Dave_B
I found exactly the same with my one. The new air spring is quite progressive in nature.
I found it quite fussy to setup to be fair!
Mines sitting on my shelf as my backup fork when others get serviced lol so I can't remember exact settings, but I ran no tokens...
I have the parts to do this. Although they don't recommend the pro Dorado for ebikes.
I've really come to appreciate how good the ohlins rxf38 is though. It's really really good actually!
Re bar width: you don't have to cut them. Just spend a day out holding your grips as far in as possible. Dont forget to adjust your brakes.
Then if it's working for you break out the cutting disc!
Eeeb and dh bike.
When I bought the norco I wanted back on the enduro bike train because I 'didn't' need a dh bike. Things sure escalated quickly, turns out I did.
Yeah as the others have posted there's many things that help.
I've badly injured both my wrists so need a comfy setup now for sure. These are all things that helped me:
Bar roll I usually setup to be swept back inline with my arms in the attack position.
Brakes are quite flat.
I use a PNW...
There's looking like more rain overnight, so track conditions tommorow will likely be similar. So kinda doesn't support their decision should they go ahead with elite 🤷
Brake lines are pretty easy, has in frame tubes and you just take out the screen to route through the head tube ports.
I reckon the 170axs will go a little deeper than the one up. Only by 10mm perhaps though. Just by not having the cable mech etc on the bottom.
