Have ridden both plenty. Owned a '22 Rocky.
The brose is much easier to get full assistance from.
The dyname has more power, but you've really really gotta work for it. High cadence and smooth pedal inputs are key.
I prefer the overrun other motors exhibit for technical climbing also.
The...
It would probably be much better value to get your current fork to a specialist and fit a vorsprung smash pot to that. It'll give you the suppleness you want.
If I had read this post before I'd purchased my recent bike rack I'd have 100% bought one of you to help the cause 😂
Troydon is a super legit dude, it's great dealing directly with one of the company owners.
Haha nah, must've been another Rocky nut.
Yeah, feel you there. That's why I decided to get something exactly as I'd build it out of the box rather than tinker and modify.
I can chirp in here as I own one currently.
Awesome bikes, really enjoyed mine.
The carbon models can have a mx link bought for the shock forward mount to mullet.
They accept a 65mm travel shock for 166 rear travel (Heck I managed to make a 9.5x3 fit in mullet with use able 180mm or so...
"I wish I had less travel" said literally no one out riding an emtb. I'm surprised there's not more in the higher range ie 180mm.
That's pretty good buying for the voima @Plummet.
A coil gains significant small bump sensitivity over the factory float X. And because of this you can run spring rates on the firmer side to help with the support you seek. I've found the rear isn't too fussy on compression and once you get your rebound set right the bike really comes alive.
I totally get where you're coming from OP, I was in a similar position myself recently.
I was actually going to get a mezzer pro, but none in stock! So I went with a '23 zeb instead. Availability and serviceability were a huge drawcard. You can buy them everywhere!
The best thing about the zeb...
Yeah dude it's the torque sensor, recalibrate it through the settimgs. Happens all the time, bit annoying! It's a common fault apparently. Luckily a 2min fix.
For what it's worth the only benefit a mullet would offer on this bike is butt clearance.
It has pretty short chainstays already and the bikes weight will negate any manoeuvrability gain you might get from the smaller wheel.
It rocks as a full 29er, one of the best handling bikes I've ever ridden.
Hahaha, yeah man they're super glazed.
The other track I was riding was uncomfortably fast 😅
I have 220mm rotors coming and I'll just have to be braver. It's just too much comfort braking, it's a balancimg act!

Last weekends adventures. Is it the weekend again yet? 😂
I wish YouTube was easier to upload to and with the same quality!
Hey I had done this in the other thread. I reckon you need shorter cranks and thin pedals to make this work really well. The bike is super pedal strike prone with 170's!
You'd get away with it on fire roads, but I reckon it would be a dog on tight rocky rooty climbs.
The lack of overrun in the...
Yeah I only notice the weight difference putting it on my vertical bike stand and when trying to get shape off a jump. Both just require different technique haha.
I don't think you can go wrong size wise, smaller and recommended sizes will work just fine. I'm 5'10 on a L and initially the bike...
It's definitely a heavy bike. The A70 is around 26kg, it's noticeably heavier than my alloy e160. But you don't really feel that on the trail.
The difference in weight is about 1.5kg between the a70/c70.
I can't comment if the 2 have different ride characters, I chose alloy for its durability 🙂
No worries mate.
I double checked, I actually had it on positions 3. In pos 4 will lift BB 4mm.
HTA was around 62deg with aforementioned 180mm fork too.
