Chaps - just to be clear (as I'm not from page discussing this linked below) if you want to run a different size wheel in the 2019 (or even a significantly different tyre which would still change diameter) am I right in understanding that this can *only* be changed by a dealer??
ie the user...
Thanks. @Rob Hancill - don't know what you think about this Rob? I'm a newer member so catching up on topics but some are just too big to contemplate - different I think if you've followed them from the beginning but intimidating to trawl through for literally hours over 2000 posts looking...
I always thought (while we are still in the EU) that consumer law in one EU country applies to all - if Germany (Italy, France, Spain etc) gets a 2 year warranty on a retail product so does everyone else?
I'd love to read that Blevo thread but having trawled through some 20 or 30 pages topics the thought of trying to survive reading 70 pages is more than a man can bear... :)
Once these monster topics get that big they are just too unwieldy for their own good.
Is there a simple summary anywhere...
Hmmm, kind of fuggly IMHO. I like the simplicity and look of no display built in stealthy Levo style or if you want all the bells and whistles use an app on the phone but good to have more choices I guess. :)
I'd try BS to see how much the stock Levo dropper is - they are all clones of the Brand X etc which are well reviewed - seem unavailable aftermarket in 34.9 though hence try a Specz dealer, pair it with a ZTTO lever for a great set up.
Anyone heard anything on the 'inside'? - chatting to a trade friend today he did mention he is attending the launch for the new Whyte bikes in a few weeks and they will have the new Bosch motor. Doubt anything much will leak due to super tight NDA's.
Bosch are confident:
Bosch plans to set up...
This is the same guy but a different account as a German seller where he has sold most of them - see the FB for the 700's:
eBay Feedback profile for scalpel4ever2012
Anyway, he seems legit with it - seems he has contacts at Specz HQ down the road from him if anyone wants to take a punt on the...
I think that's just because he re-lists every time he sold one - sometimes works out easier/quicker to sell one at a time than list all together with 20 available etc. I would not be concerned his FB pattern is good but caveat emptor as always. :)
He told me he had 30 of them with a couple left.
Yes, a few choice for sure and some good ideas here. It would be optimal if you could get hold of one of the warranty/duff 500 wh 2019 Levo batteries and pass them to one of those battery guru whizz kid companies to see just what they could pack inside into the same space in terms of the most...
Yes, interesting thought. Would give you 1000wh for £500 total over bike price against £700 for 700wh. Hate riding with even a lightweight rucksack though let alone a ton of lithium ion! And there’s the crash risk (for your own back and neck mostly).
In five or ten years we’ll laugh at the...
Come on, hardly a 'frankenbike' by any stretch of the imagination is it? Really?!:confused:;)
Bikes are very adaptable and not everyone wants the same or maybe some want to try something (ever so slightly) different. Discussing it on here is to see if it would be viable. Riding it will...
Great stuff Dave, thanks for doing that - that's interesting and a result - Specz give the 2019 with the factory 2.6's as 5mm higher (347mm) and would have thought the Butchers might be less tall than the MM?
But your test with the 27.5 on the back checks out pretty close with the post I made...
Should be the same on the S/M = 95mm headtube (155 steerer) but L has a 125mm HT (185mm steerer) and 140mm HT on the XL so presuming 200mm on the XL?
:)
