Have 2.6 DHF on front wheel, no problems. 18 psi. Where I ride is really tight and twisty singletrack, narrower front tyre gives me more control IMO.
Kept rear with original 2.8" as I have hard tail JAM, to give an extra cushion, but if it was FS, I'd put 2.6" at rear as well.
It is in the software - most likely the wheel diameter is not set right.
I had a long chat with a head mechanic of Thok MIG bikes in Brisbane. We were talking about his willingness to change wheel sizes or even put on different tyres if I order the bike from him and he said he will re-program...
Yep, spray would do it. The electrical contact cleaners main ingredient is IPA anyway. Just make sure not to use strong solvents such as acetone or tar removers which will eat plastics. Then you'll be in a hurt locker.
I'm not sure what kind of oil is used in droppers, probably similar to a...
I'd turn bike upside down for at least overnight. Water and anything electrical is bad idea. If anything try to rinse with isopropyl (IPA) or methylated spirits. These will mix with oil and evaporate fast, water won't.
Good luck.
Didn't know that mate.
Been there over Christmas break for three weeks (Darwin area) and year before did a trip with a Britz campervan all over NT. I have not seen one cyclist on the road, nor on the dirt.
I tried riding on my relatives bike (if it can be called such a thing from BigW) and now...
OK, replace "easy" with "no".
I'll leave to my fellow riders to chime in (if they can be bothered) whether putting the helmet on as required by this inhuman law is a reason not to go for a bike ride.
Do you get the noise with seat removed?
I had that problem on two analog bikes a on current Jam2 - the problem was always overtightened bolt(s) on the seat rails.
The Spesh Epic I used to have had that creaking noise was coming from the seat tube clamp. Found out after replacing shock and...
I've seen one 900e in black/gold advertised for 6,200AUD (size M, I need L). This is incredible value for money considering the spec on this bike. On top of it I've got a LBS on the doorstep who is Trek/Merida/Norco dealer.
Just for comparison, Focus Jam2 Drifter is $7,500.. Norco VLT $8,500...
Also one more thing to consider is when changing wheel or even tyre size, the Shimano controller needs to be re-programmed for change in wheel/tyre combo circumference.
I've discussed it with a Thok Mig dealer head mechanic. He was willing to replace plus size tyre with 2.6" and offered free...
160mm cranks and pair of nylon protectors. They will not stop pedal strikes but at least scratches and gouges on the bottom bit of arms are less obvious.
I have Bold2 Plus (Raceface AC40 27.5 wheels) with 2.8'' tyres front and back.
I'd suspect the frame is the same on 29er, so I don't see reason why 27.5 wheel would not fit.
However, it looks like your rims are narrower, so perhaps whoever told you it is impossible, thinks that rim is too...
Carbon Jam is not available in the Colonies , otherwise I would already have one. I'll keep dreaming...
As for seat, it was first thing I changed. Blue Nukeproof Horizon, much better.
