Have 2.6 DHF on front wheel, no problems. 18 psi. Where I ride is really tight and twisty singletrack, narrower front tyre gives me more control IMO.

Kept rear with original 2.8" as I have hard tail JAM, to give an extra cushion, but if it was FS, I'd put 2.6" at rear as well.

I went with DHR for the back, 2.8" but put a 29'er on the front, 2.5" DHF. I really like it a lot, great roll over capability now. I also installed a 150mm air shaft for my Fox Rhythm forks. The bike is now so much more forgiving in rocky sections and still corners well. The Carbon version of the Jam2 came with Fox suspension but 140mm forks.
