Skoda Yeti with its fabulous Varioflex rear seats. Middle seat removed, side seat pushed closer towars the centre and folded down.
Back wheel goes into that well, pedals on the side seats. Secured with quick release ratchet thingy. Takes around three minutes (including front wheel removal)...
More than looks I like the weight of it.
Far more nimble than Merida and Trek I had a chance to try. It is a "lowly" hardtail only, but honestly I'm not keen to swap it for full sus. I'm more often off the sadle, standing, and more careful to pick the right line, but that doesn't faze me much...
I have Bold Plus which I bought secondhand in mint condition. After 5 months of using it on dirt, I decided to also use it for commute (2x14km, 2 short but steep climbs). Really enjoyed it, but the asphalt was chewing knobs on my DHF/DHR 2.8" at alarming rate. These tyres are not cheap here...
One of the locals trails, 3 laps, max delta elevation ~120m. 85kg fully kitted rider, bike (Bold) is 18.3 kg with pedals, fair bit lighter than alu Jam/Sam.
I think it would be doable for Shimano to include in the firmware a percentage of use for each mode. Memory is there, could be just three...
I get a red bar on battery in around 60km distance mark -> 70% ECO, 25% TRAIL, 5% BOOST. Shifting a lot to keep cadence at 80 +/-5 where my personal sweet spot is. Not an aggressive rides but not just cruising either. Not bad for 375W battery IMO.
Another bizarre one: Australia 25km/h, New Zealand 32km/h.. Virtually the same landscape (at least on the North Island), population density, roads infrastructure load.
Obviously different bureaucrats in Transport (or whatever) ministry makes the rule what is safe and what is not.
After two trail rides, around 80km total in all modes, I found no difference in motor behaviour.
I haven't tried the gear combination which I have no use for i.e. 11-13-15t in boost.
Gee Rob, you must must be a night-owl... Close to midnight according to my watch (have some relatives in Europe, better keep an eye on the time before calling them at 2 am to say hello)
Saturday morning here, changing ring right now and when the annoying drizzle stops I'll take it for spin.
I'd be keen to know the answer too. I was planning to swap to 36t NW ring today.
I remember reading a post not long ago from Gary that he swapped ring to 36t Aluminium bit he got for cheap, but not sure whether it was for his Shimano bike.
I already swapped shorter cranks, no problems...
It took me about a year of lurking here to join you bunch.
Member of another well known forum, but when I started to entertain the idea of going electric and looked at the eMTB section there, it was just a big mess full of bickering and venom spitting. This Forum is exactly the opposite, lots...
Hi Bissona,
Before you start hacking it, I may point you out in the right direction.
I'm building a spare set of commuting wheels for my Focus Bold 2 and had the same problem of sourcing the rear rotor with the magnet. As you know the magnet is attached to the rotor (six bolt pattern) via...
