"a 1-2 month delay is nothing unusual."
I count six months at best but that is not unusual in the bike industry either and sometimes they never come to pass. It's important that they get it right based on some of the new model issues showing up with other brands.
It does amaze me the sheer...
If you had thought to ask if eBikes were allowed on Galby before you rode it would have saved your ears. I know I did and was happy to abide by their rule against their use there although I don't necessarily agree with it.
There is more than a good chance that any lithium battery will catch fire if you start messing with it without knowledge of what you are doing. I juggle two batteries between three bikes with hundreds of charge cycles with no issues. I don't leave them on the charger and don't open them up and...
It's official, Focus is out for 2019 in the US. Not sure where that leaves the owners of 2018 models as far as warranty goes.
Kalkhoff as well that have been selling ebikes here probably longer than any other EU brand.
First night ride with the boys of the season. My mtb is down so I took the road bike and got to check on my lighting. I figure the laser lane feature could cut down brush if I up the amps a bunch.
They were all on analog mtb's and would lose me on the DH sections but I would catch them on the...
"Mike at Current eBikes gave her a discount on the bike as apparently Focus will not distribute in the USA in 2019"
The above is news I hadn't heard....any substantiation from the peanut gallery?
When the chain is in the middle of the cassette it has no side load on it and if it is worn enough it will sometimes make noise without the side load adding tension to the links. I would try swapping in a new chain even it that one only has few miles on it.
Last I read they were awaiting certification for the US market. Which I suppose really only means a tweak to get the shut off moved up 4.5 mph. Or they are testing it to see if it will handle the stress of prolonged 20mph loads as compared to the known 32kmh.
I realize that the Jam2 is already...
To me it is not the restriction as much as how it kicks in and out, sometimes a few klicks before the actual legal limit. Way too annoying for my ADD issues. Do that with any other thing with a motor or even on a regular bike and see how many people like it.
I ride open source no restriction...
Given that the sound quality of on board video's is always a bit hinky and louder than it really is that is still more than it should be for a motor with a belt final drive in the reduction gear.
PSI is a personal thing and hard to do any more than get a general idea online. Air up your tires to more than you think you need. Ride some on terrain you would normally, back and forth over a section of trail works best. Start letting out a little air each time and do so until the handling...
Or you could just learn to time your pedal stroke while keeping the TA active and use 170's as normal.
It's pretty easy to do and in fact I bet 90% of the people that have much time on a regular mtb have already been doing for years. Use a slight amount of pressure on your rear brake which...
My road bikes have regen due to the fact they have Direct Drive motors. As noted there is not enough mass to make a difference with range but it is very handy for use as a drag brake, mine are front hub motors so it effects the front wheel, that I use all the time. It doesn't apply enough...

"The fully sealed Mubea drivetrain comes with some remarkable features like the top performance of up to 4 kW , traction-uninterrupted shifting under load (y), low maintenance thanks to oil lubrication , high level comfort and optimal control o_O. Thanks to its compact size...
Seems like more of a preventative measure to keep eBikes, and there are plenty in both kit and manufactured formats, that have sheltered under the for off road use only (wink wink) and 250w while putting out more like 700w type bikes and the 25 kmh/250w bikes on the forefront.
This may have already been discussed but it seems that in the UK at least they are not going to put up with the old "off road use only" shtick any more without additional approval.

I am unsure however how all this heat is coming down on eBikes in a part of the world where HyperCars...
Not at all Gary, you play the cards you are dealt. Fortunately for me where I reside the laws are more amenable to my needs and my choice of e systems is not based on what the manufacturers think I need based on regulations that don't apply here.
