This is why i would never again buy shimano powered ebike, their customer service is woeful in assuming all their motors fail because of tampering! As has been said go back to point of purchase, really they should have to prove its been tampered with.
Where is your port of entry? As that will have a huge influence of where you can reach without wasting travel time. If it the south east then there is good riding around north and south downs, and if you head further west to hampshire and dorset theres great riding around there, a book i use is...
I fitted them to my e150rs and no rubbing but you will have to bend the magnet mount slightly as the bolt holes are slightly recessed so caused the magnet to rub. The rivets on the rotors were fine, ive had no problems with warping and much better with brake fade than with the centrelines
Thanks ill look at that, but more likely ill switch to shimano, i had untold problems with the sram on the e150, so swapped for shimano 11sp xt and no problems since and cheaper.
so popped into lbs to query about main pivot on my e150rs and stupidly asked if he had any ex demo bikes. I am now the owner of a 2023 e160s with less than 500miles for £3590! with full 2yrs warranty. A bargain too good to pass up, thats the second time ive gone in for something minor and come...
What i will say with whyte is you get first class warranty support, when i snapped the derailleur and sheered the tiny screw holding the gear hanger, they collected from my lbs drilled it out, replaced hanger and sent it back for no charge. Have done over 5000miles on the e150, bearings were...
I wear specialized 2fo but with them i wear bridgedale winter waterproof socks and vaude bike gaiters, i may not look stylish but my feet stay dry and warm even on the coldest wettest days. Any fool can be cold and uncomfortable as any old tank crewman knows!
Had it done about 18months ago, at first i was why the extra but now find it much better, i dont use all the features like nav, fitness, etc. Im pretty sure you dont need to take out motor but just remove mounting plate hth
Yep same as when new. No i agree it only had one update, but the LBS had to update it to get the old battery life.
Is there any way the LBS can roll it back to a previous version?
Well maybe not!
I have charged the new battery twice, and i am not impressed.
Given when the bike was new in 2019 it managed a 28mile ride around mam tor and 4000ft of elevation, reasonable boost and trail use and was in the red at the end.
With the new battery, it did 22miles and 1900ft around...
I think he was indicating warranty period. I really had no idea the battery was that bad, altho range had dropped a bit i could still comfortably get 30miles out of one charge and 2-3k feet of height. It was a bt8010 battery
Done 3000miles on battery and 2nd motor, took bike to shop to check battery life as only 3weeks left until end of warranty.
It had 75 charge cycles and 53% capacity.
Sent to madison for warranty claim which they agreed and told the shop it should be at least 80% after 1000 cycles or 2 years.
Check movement of rear triangle.
My Lbs have informed me that all my frame bearings are fooked after 6 months of riding. And the rear caliper cracked.
Given that i havent abused the bike, not used a pressure washer and just used a brush and hot water to clean then its very disappointing that a...
Thanks for your thoughts guys, yes they are doing the hose. As for wheel bearings (which i checked myself 3 weeks ago and found them to be running smoothly with no rumbling and no play) i will just keep an eye on them. As has already been said ill get main pivot bearings thru warranty, if the...
