Well I'm glad that I'm not alone in this theory.
I don't have enough time on other bikes to speak confidently about other motors in comparison but the numbers tell a story which I'm guessing some people wont notice. But an aggressive rider will find the limit of the shimano.
Rob is there any...
I don't think the bike is the problem. I still have a great time riding it. I'm not sure 160mm is enough for me coming off a 180mm analogue bike but that is a different subject.
I'll try trail on 300% see if that makes a difference. I'm not unhappy with the way it delivers power but I do...
Well in trail the power is lower in all motors from what i understand. So maybe this is a leveller between models.
With motors with 90-120nm and 410% assistance there is a major difference between a shimano and a some of those higher powered motors. Especially if they can deliver their power...
I ride mine boost all the time. i have trail in 200% assist.
This isnt about top speed its about acceleration and sustained acceleration. These motors seem to be ok at doing 13mph up hill at a consistent speed but find it hard to keep up with my legs when im pushing up hill. I have also seen...
As much as i like this bike i have to say that i really think this motor is lacking.
I dont buy this 300% assistance as anything more than marketing. Cadence range is far to small and power tails off very fast under hard pedalling.
I have mine in the US 20mph mode and clearly at 18.5 it...
Ive never had an engine blow up. Ever. I also have extended warranty options on a car. I dont expect my car to have 6 new engines in 1 year either.
You read specialized replacing motors outside of warranty because the owners probably invoked their consumer rights inside the UK.
Im not salty i...
My Decoy problems are e13 related. The motor and battery are fine. Shimano is reliable enough and the big players in motors do a much better job of making reliable systems. Nobody is saying they are perfect as all have issues. But the Brose motor is a different problem. Nobody has said that they...
You think a spesh employee is going to tell you the true failure rate? Imagine if he said 1 in 3 fail. Would you buy it? No chance. The fact he said 5% rather than the stock reply of 1% is telling in itself. The market knows they are unreliable. They just dont know how bad it is. You will know...
Lol. If you believe that then good luck.
1 bike and 6 motors does not represent a 5% failure rate. I bet in the UK it's even worse due to wet weather. Someone should start a survey.
Also how many bikes are sitting in peoples garages with 50 miles on them? I bet a vast majority barely get used.
If you think the failure rate of Specialized ebikes is 1% then you need to go back to school. When 1 person can have 6 new motors in 1 bike then you have a serious problem. 2018 bikes were bad enough but nothing like how bad the 2019+ bikes are. Only a moron would make a whole motor...
Well i have the new style already cassette and its shit so that is clearly not a fix for this thing. Im waiting on E13 to come back to me but so far YT have not even emailed me back on the subject. This bike has a miss matched drive train with stupid XD driver on a Shimano shifting system.
E13 say I have the new cassette which is funny because this think shifts like crap.
Not only does it not change correctly it also jumps under heavy load. Never seen a cassette ever do that.
I'm loathed to pay to upgrade a bike I just took delivery of. This is gonna really piss me off. My dad...
For me this is the problem with rock shox.
I have this issue on my 180mm enduro lyric rct3. The fox grip2 doesnt have it at all.
The lyric has always lacked small bump compliance. This is why it's a cheaper and more basic fork. Always has been always will be.
I often think people who think...
Well my dad exited the app and rebooted it and the error has cleared. Not sure what has changed as we did this before.
Seems to be ok now. No idea what caused it or what resolved it.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue.
My dad just updated the chain ring setting in stunlocker and now had this fault he cant fix.
Doesnt have the premium licence... just wanted to fine tune the power and saw this was set wrong
Evolution rather than revolution.
I'm pretty happy with the grip 2 in the 36 on the decoy.
I'm sure they will be on most high end bikes next year though.
I know you cant do it by air no matter what due to the wh of the battery.
I was assuming that bike boxes would not travel by air due to size and weight. This is the limit of my knowledge though.
