Great video review Rob.
This bike puts more clear water between the Levo and Levo SL range, but make me wonder what will change with the Kenevo. If they actually bother with a Kenevo at all now....
I really like the display-less style of the current Levo (SL)s. How stealth does the new TCU go...
What Spesh *might* do is offer a 'normal' Levo (non-SL) with a more powerful motor from Mahle, based on the Levo SL motor, replacing the Brose motor. But, yeah, that would be a new Levo not a new Levo SL.
(Late reply)
My experience is that if you set MC to drain the RE first you will literally drain the RE to more or less nothing and in doing so the bike will reduce power massively as it goes below 10% - as you observed.
However at that point MC has refused to switch to 'drain both together'...
WTF shouldn't I leave my bike outside a shop for 5 minutes?
I am insured. I will lock it somewhere relatively safe. I'll use good lock(s).
Anything the bike manufacturers can do to make the bike, or bits of the bike harder to steal or harder to sell on is a bonus. That includes a lockable...
I had a few noise problems with my Levo SL early on, but I solved them all.
Two main problems were both hard to track down. I did think they were cable related at one point, and took measures to fix that, but it wasn't the sources.
They were:
1. The headset. Oddly, i didn't feel any play...
The point of having an SL is you can ride it how you like Turbo / Eco / even off at times.
A (light) eeb gives you more choice.
Personally, I spend a lot of time in Eco and I like an efficient bike because I am doing really long rides. So long, I couldnt do them on an acoustic bike, but I...
Switch panel? Do you mean the TCU in the top-tube?
TCUs are notoriously prone to water problems (being used in the Turbo Levo and Levo SL - there's lots of examples)
Dunno if it runs on the Quest, but Alyx was the first VR game I played that made me think yaaaaaaaays this is what VR is all about. Until then the most fun i had with my Dell WMR headset was Google Earth and Steam's VR Lab.
I don't like cleaning my bike, so I usually ride 'gravel' through the winter. So I actually prefer a slicker tyre in winter months. Currently, that means my worn down (2000 mile) stock tyres (Butcher/Elim?). But I even occasionally run Conti Speedkings for loooong dry gravel rides, but you...
I hope you've all been riding over the summer. So update:
3000 KM done on my Levo SL so far, including plenty of mud and rain and MucOff the last couple months.
No problems to report.
'Spensive. I mean the original Shuttle was 'spensive too but seemed ahead of the game with its frame and integrated (but 'external') battery pack. I was lucky enough to ride one for a day on the Long Mynd and it was awesome.
But all bikes have moved forward. And yeah it's still a nice bike but...
Your friends are XC racers and they ride with you on acoustic bikes or EMTBs as well? If you rely on a 'full power' motor in trail mode to keep up then.
1. They're fast if they are on acoustic bikes!
2. The Levo SL may be just enough but you'll be putting in a lot more effort to keep up.
On...
There's not many 'good' hardtail ebikes on offer. They are mostly aimed at commuter/road use.
Kenisis are one of the few: RISE PRO
If on a budget, the Cube Acid hardtail ebike always looked like good value. Certainly not for the tougher trails, but a good XC/trail bike with scope to upgrade...
