I'd suggest looking at a step through frame. They massively increase confidence. Not only do you get all the stand-over clearance, but it gives you more options to get off in a tight spot than swinging your leg over the back.

When you back pedal? Something odd happens on the Levo SL, usually it's disengaged. Occasionally, like when very new or yesterday (for some reason) it will engage and actually backpedal the chainring for maybe a turn or two.
So backpedaling probably isn't a great test of how disengaged the SL...
