A very good question. I used to walk a bit and had no problems with MTB on dual use trails, but as a MTB rider I used to get real pissed when some grom would come blasting down a walking only trail. Same as on the MTB - I get quite riled up when I come across someone on a MX or pitbike on a MTB...
Have not built a play area yet as not with the local club anymore due to philosophical disagreements - that and beating my head against a brick wall with our local council.
Nice sized area I have to say - I would go for 4 or 5 tracks/areas with that space.
Having a digger is crucial if you want...
That or the shock ... Oh, could be brake fluid too but that would be really noticeable for most. @Zimmerframe not so much as he apparently uses trees, rocks and other things to stop.
Have had belt drive on a SingleSpeed and found it to kill me a lot faster. Added 20 minutes to my 45km loop and hurt me a lot more than the chain.
As far as this chain goes .... LMAO.
Weight weenies that replace components very regularly probably would not notice, but the reality of...
Pretty much everybody is sold out of L & M. A few ladies bikes and smalls around but that is about it. Talking to several of my pushers ... yup, they are just like drug dealers - 2021 bikes are about $1000 up over 2020 right across the range.
Me too. A buddy has one and loves it. Might look at the KTM though as I want something solid. Sad about Alta - a guy I know has been riding one for years and loves it.
Actually ...... some of us have been MTB advocates for years ... 20 in my case. Have been at countless meetings with the...
As a long time trail builder & maintainer I was initially a bit hesitant to say yes to eMTB on my trails. This was very much reinforced by parents bringing their kids down to the park on various pit bikes - electric & petrol powered as well as the first few eMTB I came across being quite high...
Just SRAM brakes - powerful as anything but on or off.
Haven't checked the thickness of the Shimano rotors but I expect they are 2mm. These 220 rotors might alleviate the SRAM Squeal.
The 'pedal damn it' company says 'ride damn it' :D
Back 10 years ago I dropped the ball and missed out on a wonderful opportunity after meeting the Niner owners before the WSSC at Rotorua. Never thought an eMTB would be in their future.
First Impression
Can't wait for Robs thoughts.
I will take it as fact. Have had a SRAM GX come apart on my 3rd ride. Not something I was expecting to fail that early but I expect piss-poor assembly at the factory as the cause. The replacement was trouble free until I flicked the bike with about 1200km on it. LBS had someone else with...
My life is a history lesson in stupid shit.
Hell, dad used to say I invented "Hold my beer" before I was old enough to drink. Close to retirement age and my brain still writes checks my body cant cover.
