That's cool, not many people are fans of front hubs. But I wouldn't have a road oriented bike without one. I've built up three now and that particular one has been ridden from sandy beaches in Oregon to 10k in elevation on dirt in Crested Butte and pretty much everything in between. With a...
Don't get me wrong, I wring as much as I can out of it but it doesn't feel any where near as secure as when on a moto, to me at least YMMV.
My front hub 1000+w road bike will average 30mph on flattish ground until the battery dies but it requires way more attention than a moto also.
I have...
Under the letter of the federal regulations, 20mph/750w, you would be subject to the same as in the UK.
However due to the Class 1,2,3 laws instituted by People for Bike, basically a lobbying tool of the manufacturers to better align with the EU laws, the waters are a bit muddy in those regards...

Whenever I skim through a thread like this I am reminded of how glad I am to live in a place that no one cares what my eBikes are able to achieve speed wise and the fact that even though they can I don't.
I have been eyeing a Bikes Direct Hal e bike with a M600 Bafang motor since last year about this time. Ticked all my boxes especially the cheap one @ $3k.....didn't put down as they said it would be awhile before it was made so I just kept an eye on it and subscribed to their "heads up" deal...
You would think the Military Industrial Complex could at least spring for a Full Suspension design. Frankly they have been using eBikes for years already. I saw a company called Tidal Force had a contract quite awhile ago....
But in reality they would probably be better off with something like...
OK, so right away warning you that this is not about an EMTB but it is e and a concept that I have considered for years....So don't bother to continue if you haven't got an open mind.
eBikes have been associated with Mopeds since day 1 yet legal eBikes are nothing like Mopeds actually. True...
Hey MX guy, Bob in Tillamook here wondering what dealer you found your bikes at? Tried the Google but no luck......I know for sure there isn't one here as there isn't even a bike shop!
Thanks in advance
Hello Dengfu factory,
At what point will we here in the USA be able to get access to the e10 frame? As I understand it Luna Cycles made some sort of deal with you to be the sole importer? That would be ok if they seemed to be making an effort to supply the US market with your product but after...
WTB makes an i35 ASYM 26" rim that will make even a 2.3 tire puffy enough to run in the high teens psi wise. I think they make a 26" Vigilante 2.3 in fact if there are any anywhere. I use that combo for my 29" wheelset and use 15psi.
Lived in CB for years, can't say i miss it all that much but...
Local trail working
Nice day to be in the woods listening to the birds going off. After that it was time for a ride out to the jetty as seen in the distance from the Walt Giles Memorial Viewpoint taken on the way home.
As little as possible. There is an IMBA epic trail system, the WRT, 40 minutes from me I go to once in awhile and if going north I will try and hook up with my old gang and trails an hour and a bit away. I keep threatening to go to get in some high plains drifting/hot springing and who knows I...
The M600 is actually throttle-able and the reason it has been on my radar since it was introduced 3 years ago. For my own reasons I would not own an eBike without a throttle, and no it is not to preclude pedaling.....makes a very handy walk mode however that needs no secret handshake to get...
