What I found interesting is the fork felt like it was significantly smoother with the frame in the low position on the bigger hits and g-outs on the steep trails I've been riding.
I've ran the 2.3 and 2.5 aggressors DD. Both are awesome. I really like rimpact as a cheaper and lighter...
What shock? I recently put mine in low cuz I was riding some really steep and loamy stuff. It was incredible how much better it felt for that type of riding!
I've bee super happy with 2.3 aggressors and 2.3 dhr ii on my 32 id rim. The bike feels way more responsive and precise. I have no issues with climbing or braking traction, even in loose over hard so cal conditions. The 2.8s felt so vague. Really dumb "innovation" if you ask me.
My base decoy came with an 11 speed slx cassette and the HG driver. The cassette is like butter and started slipping teeth really quickly. I'd recommend you stay away from that one.
I built up a new wheel with the xd driver and got myself an 11 speed sram gx cassette. It's all steel and cheap...
What kind of trails do you have access to? I use my decoy to shuttle dh laps. I've got it built up with coils front and rear and cushcore. It comes in at 55lbs. It's fun, but if I could pick any bike today for the same job I might choose the new Kenevo with the dual crown fork. I would, of...
My decoy has done an odd thing a few times recently. It cuts the power momentarily and beeps three times. No error code on display and power resumes after I stop pedalling for a moment. It's weird. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
This is going to be really interesting with winter coming in the noryh. There's so many good cheap lights available, I'm really curious to see what hacks people come up with!
Have you tried using a bit of lube on the cable grommets? That definitely helps them slip in, but also work their way...
I stopped drinking water all together once I went uncaged. I find my whisky and beer get too shaken up on the rides anyway. Better to slam a few in the car park before and after every ride...
I ride aggressively in rocky terrain so I had to run normal pressures. I'm 175 lbs and ran about the same as you do on normal tires. I shredded the 2.8 exo+ with cushcore installed. I just swap in a 27.5x2.3 agressor with double down casing and cushcore. And brother, I LOVE IT. I'll never go...
