Better yet, use an old airplane mechanic favorite ACF-50. It'll stop and prevent any rust, maintain conductivity and not make a mess like dielectric grease. It's a must have in off road motorcycle connection too.
That's all very cool. I've seen some amazing vinyl wraps. But I have never been able to do a satisfactory job on a bike myself. On the other hand, a cheap hvlp gun and waterborne paints are very satisfying and easy to do at home.
This 100%. Check your sanding job with a solvent wipe before you put any paint down. Here in the states there's a product called Bulldog that really helps with adhesion if you're not using primer. I've done a lot of these color shift paints and I think the black carbon will do a great job of...
What's the price difference between the base decoy plus upgrades to get it dialed vs this bike? I wanted to build a Chinese ebike in late 2019 but then the decoy was released and I bought it immediately. I was the first guy to take delivery in the states. Ive been extremely happy with the...
My ebike is my ride everyday hard put away wet kind of bike. I'm doing like 3000k per year on it. Also have really steep and rocky trails, so ya the mech needs replaced more frequently than my dh bike that gets ridden 15 times a year.
Smaller cassettes like 42 tooth max. All steel if possible. Medium cage should work. You're going to go through mechs, so something like slx 10 or 11 speed is perfect.
Hopes aren't as strong as zee's. All the new shimano stuff seems pretty good. All of my riding buddies are on magura, they are definitely strong and grabby. I've heard really really good things about the newer Hayes Dominions.
I read something about di2 equipped bikes having the ability to create more speed or torque in walk mode, bit I don't recall the specifics. That's a decent selling point to me.
This walk mode sucks. The speed and force of the walk is based on what gear you're in and in the low gears it rolls so slow it's useless. So you have to shift up for the walk assist, then back down to carry on pedaling. It's also hard to hold the button down while pushing a 55 pound bike up...
I don't have anymore info. I just saw them in Santa Cruz and the guys on them were nice enough to chat for a few seconds about it. Heard of some other with them in Socal.
There's lots of these in the wild if you know where to look. Looks exactly like the new enduro with the sl motor. The guys riding them love them. But sadly they say it won't be released till next summer. So that means I won't be able to afford one until 2023 or so.
