I agree that the pressure is immense, but it is a known factor and predictable, as is fatigue life. So far so good. But it would appear that they did not take into account the "being soaked in sea water under pressure aspect" Over time, this may have caused delamination and or some physical...
I had the same doubts about carbon frames, but I've had four now (each for 2-3 years) and I've had zero problems with any of them. Buy with confidence. (y)(y)
There were a load of bows and arrows below deck. The archaeologists and specialist archers determined that the draw was 200lbs! (90kg). No wonder the arrows could punch through armour!
Also, no wonder the archers from that time had over-developed shoulders and arms, almost to the point of...
Yep, short notice I know. But I'm off to Pines for another test ride of a new route I'm working on. Is anyone going anyway and would like to link up? I will be doing a guided ride quite soon anyway.
Thinking of starting at about 11am, but I can change that if required.
Check the hole in the rim where the tube valve fits. Look for any sharp edges. If in doubt, file it smooth or use fine sandpaper, or emery cloth. Assume it is a simple problem first before believing that suddenly, after 15,000 km, that your wheel is no longer fit for purpose.
I cannot recommend...
Yes @Flo drag a cloth gently around the inside of the tyre. What you are feeling for is the cloth snagging on the thorns. If you use your fingers, you may miss the thorn or cut yourself on it.
@Flo It sounds like you have had had good value from your tyres and maybe it's time they were changed...
Once, I tried and failed to get the tyre off. I gave up and took the wheel to the LBS. Once there, they gave me "the look" as they told me it will be ready in half an hour. I laughed to myself, but accepted the humiliation manfully. One hour later I got a phone call. "We're a bit busy today can...
But then they will look after you when you are old and grey (err, actually, older than that!). But don't forget your kids get to choose your care home!!
Yesterday my 12s chain snapped. One of the outer links peeled apart and off it went. I was lucky that there was no damage to the mech or any other part of the bike. Fixed trailside with a new power link. This has prompted me to get on with the transmission refurb.
The cassette had done 2273...
Ha! I had given up too easily! At the bottom of a long product list provided by Amazon, I found one at an insanely expensive price, but it did have a Shimano part number for a 36T. I copied the number and changed the 36 in the description to 34 and Googled: "SHIMANO Cycling Y0KJ34100" (The...
Hi, I am looking for just the chainring for my eOne-Sixty. I can only find ones that come with the Spider, which seems an unnecessary expense. I know that Shimano do separate rings for 10 & 11-speed, so I’m assuming that they also do 12-speed.
The one I'm looking for is a Shimano CRE80-12-B, 34...
You are limiting your market to those who not only are happy to do a build themselves, but also to want your particular bike. Also, how would you evaluate what the selling price was unless you auctioned it on eBay or similar? You may be left with just the frame and bits.
But a full bike is a...
I like that. I am currently going "ski-ing" at every opportunity.
(Spending the Kids Inheritance) :ROFLMAO:
They are doing well enough without me. However, the grand kids may need some help, so maybe I should cancel that around the world tour?
