With the cables going through the headset - Why does Canyon still choose to use long cables routed to the opposite side of the bike?
Isn´t the point of routing through the headset to be able to go into the frame from the same side and remove the cable slack for a clean/tidy handlebar?
The latch mechanism is made to be able to be able to take a lock with a key.
I wonder if using the lock with a locking "deadbolt" would make it stronger with the deadbolt taking the weight.
The Spectral ON with the Shimano system is like this, with the battery bolted on and a "cabled" power connector. Seems like a way better solution.
I get it the Strive ON is a "race" bike and a tool-less battery mount kind of makes sense, but I wonder if it´s really needed. They race the Orbea...
Ok, thank you.
The bike looks really good. When I first saw it I thought it looked ugly with that downtube but seeing it from different angles makes it look much better than on the Canyon pictures.
Did you upgrade anything else? How do you like the DB8 brakes?
I might get the Underdog version...
So that´s the Underdog version. I see you updated the suspension, but did you ever ride it with the suspension it came with? If so, why did you feel the need to upgrade it?
I have the MRP Ramp Control cartridge on my trailbike´s Lyrik fork. It´s a nice little upgrade but I don´t think they make it for the Zeb. Just like Öhlins, I believe DVO forks have it as standard as well.
I have a couple of questions about the Shimano e-bike system:
- Does Shimano have something similar to extended boost on the Bosch CX motor?
- Is it possible to show input power/power meter on the display? If not possible can you show it on a Garmin cycle computer connected with Ant+?
Anyone with the size M Strive ON that could be so kind and take a measurement for me?
Would be much appreciated!
Distance from center of the seat rail to center of the pedal axel (or center of bottom bracket), with the dropper extended and the post in the bottom of the seat tube.
Not sure if...
Yeah I´m leaning towards 160-170mm travel.
Rocky Mountain is out of my price range, at least here in Europe.
Looking at the geometry numbers, the Canyon Strive ON in size M is like if it was made for me. So I´m leaning heavily towards the Strive even though I find it kind of ugly. But then...
From what I´ve seen, the frame integrated system controller doesn´t seem to come with a gasket. If that is the case I would definitively make my own gasket for it or use a silicone sealant between it and the frame.
Where the cables enter through the headset maybe look for the silicone plugs not...
Have you seen it live?
Where do you connect the display to? From the pictures I´ve seen there´s only one connector on the system controller that connects to the motor, and the mini remote has no connectors.
