I think this is the one you need. Can be found almost everywhere for around 10 euro.
M15/M22 GXP crank bolt
If you find M18/M30 I think its for DUB cranks.
If the threads are aluminum then a helicoil repair will be stronger. I know people who intentionally drill out aluminum threads to install helicoil for taking higher torque.
If you can´t find a decent kit then your local bikeshop, if half decent, should have helicoil toolset for their workshop...
Yes it´s hard these days to find parts for GXP. I have a gravel bike with Sram Red GXP carbon crankset and a power meter spider. I want shorter crankarms for it but I can´t find any mainly because I want to be able to keep the power meter.
In your situation I would look at swapping the BB to...
I agree, the bikes are great but I have noticed a few discrepancies on their website over the years.
The latest one is their Spectral on line that got refreshed with longer forks but no change of the geometry specced on the website, even though the longer fork results in shorter reach and...
Did the pedal bearings seize? Although I think you would feel that immediately, unless they were over-torqued and the threads already were done for. Or maybe the pedals were loose and "wiggled" eating away on the threads.
If it´s not DUB it would be GXP. DUB uses a 29mm axle and GXP uses a 24mm...
If you want it as accurate as possible I guess you need to sit on the bike, with the correct tyre pressure, when you roll it to measure the distance. I have not tried this so I don´t know how much difference it results in.
Of course anything can get stolen and not any lock is foolproof. It´s all about making it harder for the thief. Cars can be broken into also as easy as breaking a window, but that doesn´t mean you might as well leave the car unlocked.
Maybe a security anti theft bolt that you need a special tool to loosen (like you can have for the rims on your car). I´m sure you can find one of the correct size.
I think the chain vibrating is just from the chain releasing from the chainring.
The clicking sound could be from the derailleur. If you gently push down on the cage, do you hear the click?
Is the clicking sound produced in all gears?
If you remove the chain, is it clicking when using walk...
I´m 178cm with long 85,5cm inseam. I think L would work well for saddle height but then the longer reach might be too long for my short torso. Standing up I think the reach on L is ok but it´s the seated reach that I worry about. Could go with M but then I worry the seat might sit too high over...
Am I missing something with Canyons geometry spec for the new 160mm forked Spectral ON?
The specced geometry is the same on both the 150mm version and the 160mm version.
Either I´m missing something or Canyon is too lazy and did not bother to update the spec. I doubt they managed to find a 10mm...
To me that does not look like the cassette is properly seated on the freehub body.
Remove the cassette from the body and when you put it back on turn it a little bit until you feel it seating properly, and then you can start to thread it on.
I wish there were any good options locally. All my bikes have been online orders or built by myself.
I will use it for rehab but plan on being able to keep the bike for shredding later.
If I go with specialized I have a dealer I might trust 155 miles away.
